Yes, absolutely. John Howard, then PM made a massive amount of changes dealing mostly with rifles and semi-automatic weapons. It saved a lot of lives....still is saving lives I guess.

Morning overs

That sounds like a good plan, V. We should have it in USA and UK.

Nicely said toots!

We have voting a week on Thursday of whether we should stay in the EU or not. It's a very important vote and I feel there will be a lot of change if we pull out of the EU. Unsure if it will be for the good or not. Up to now I'm a don't know.

At work I'm feeling I'm being slowly pushed out of my job, not being included on decisions, etc. I spoke with the union man and he is finding out my options. I was hoping to get another job in the company when mine goes redundant on July 01 or soon after, but I don't know yet.

So much to think about , but my concerns are day to day problems, not life threatening, so I'm sure I can go on and deal with all that happens and maybe take control. Yes, take control, I like the sound of that!

Have a good Tuesday overs!

Thanks VC. Congrats Wolfie, Kris, MB, Dharma et al another month under our belt!

Mags, I wonder whether the uncertainty at your work is an opportunity for you to think about what you want going forward?
As to the euroelections 'better together' or 'brexit' I only wish there was some decent information that wasn't slanted towards the argument of which ever side paid for it! I loathe what the EU has become over the years, an added level of beaurocracy, another bunch of greedy self serving politicians, nonsense laws to justify the existence of a European Parliament. But I firmly believe as a part of the continent of Europe Britain cannot hold itself completely seperate from it. When 'The Common Market' came into being in 1957 it was intended to simplify trade, remove barriers and improve the living conditions of all Europeans. Yes, that is a simplification of the Rome Treaty and of later agreements, but the idea was a sound one. In a utopian world. Unfortunately it failed to take human greed into the equation which has led to what we have now.
Like you Mags I am unsure as to what to vote for the best, but I do believe we need to vote from an unbiased informed opinion rather than an emotional one as too many people will. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose!

Congrats to all the overs celebrating milestones today.

Least, glad to hear the training is going well. Any animal is lucky to have you looking after them.

Well, I finally got around to making my colonoscopy appointment yesterday. It's scheduled for July 13...I'm counting the days, NOT!

Have a Terrific and/or Tolerable Tuesday, overs!

Evening overs.

Congratulations toots, Dharma and ..........Wolfie .........you know what next month is.woohoo!!! I'm excited!

Hope you're keeping ok itchy.

Thanks toots. I was quite happy to stay where I am until I retired, which is 8 years away.....but now I'm not sure. I can go in the plant hire office, I think, nothing in writing, just words, but I'm unsure. I want to be happy in my work, so I will think on that question, toots.

Hiya to all the overs. Hope it's a good day for you.

Hey guys!
Welcome newcomers. Heartfelt congratulations on your anniversary Wolf. Belated but sincere. Dharma, glad you tried AA. It can really help to have f2f with fellow alcoholics.

I'm so sorry for all the folks feeling poorly with breathing issues. Mags, adding your uncertainty in employment long term would be no fun at all.

Folks, I have been dragging here lately and finally had my new to me Ram diesel delivered today. My spousal unit was amazed at how new it feels.

I am saddened by the latest attack on innocents by hate groups. The folks who call America and our allies the devil and evil, such that they inspire murder, and our extremists who want the same for them, haven't a clue. Everybody thinks their party or religion, skin color or sexual orientation, makes them better than those that are different.
All you need, is love.

Not minding getting up at 2:30 AM for work knowing that I will have five days off after today. A much needed break to catch up around my house and celebrate my son's birthday this weekend.

Have a great day everyone!
