Hello, Octsobers.

Still working like crazy here.

Feel better to those who are under the weather. I have had the flu four times and have been terribly sick each time; some years the composition of the flu shot/jab is on-spot and other times not at all but I get the shot/jab every single year. I found that sipping very hot chicken broth was very soothing.

Love to all.

Phoebe - I saw the trailer for that documentary on YouTube. Looks very sad.

Have you seen Rain in My Heart? Full version is available on YouTube. It is absolutely heartbreaking.

I haven't seen either of those movies and may have to put them on my list for the weekend. I'll be solo while the guys go camping and plan to just chill on the couch, maybe shop a little, but that's it.

I hope you're feeling a little better today Phoebe!

Can NOT believe I'm heading back to work. I just want to sleeeeeep.
I think I can. I think I can. I think I can.

Take it easy today, Conquest. Work isn't nearly as important as your health.

I had a tough day at work yesterday. It seems we're getting a lot of work coming in right now, and it's been a challenge for my assistant and I to keep things moving smoothly. Yesterday I emailed her in the morning asking her to do something at a certain time because I just couldn't. That time rolled around, and she wasn't there. She strolled in 30 minutes late. I ended up having to do the work myself. It was not a good scene. In general, she's having a hard time keeping up with the workflow, and she has dropped a couple hints that she'll quit before her assignment ends in July. Whatever, she'll do what she wants. I don't have time to worry about it.

Anyway, get better, ladies! Love to all!

Take it easy there, Conquest. Ease back into it. Take it light I say.

Did someone say under staffed? I can relate to that Briar. It's great that business is good and we are off to a pleasant start, but holy smokes what good is it if you can't get to it all timely? It's not my company. I'm only one man. I can do only so much. Taking it one day at a time folks. Peace out!

Understaffed is an understatement! And it's going to get real interesting when her term ends and I take on both jobs. I told my boss there's so much work I can't physically fit it all in my cubicle, so she got me some shelves halfway down the hall. Problem solved, right? AHHH!!!

Okay, right now I'm going through a list of about 30 tasks I gave her over a month ago...it appears she hasn't worked on any of them. Oh, the wrath!

Yikes, Briar, maybe you should help her quit sooner rather than later! She sounds like more of a hindrance than a help. I certainly hope she is not counting on a reference.

Conquest, if I had a job outside of the house, I would have not been ale to work the last week. Not at full capacity, that is for sure. I hope you take it easy and come home if you have to do so.

I finally waved the white flag at this flu and went to see the RNP today. I have a antibiotic prescription for a sinus infection and was checked for strep, because I had a killer sore throat for a few days. The rapid of that was negative, but I have meds, anyway, which hopefully will knock out anything i may have at this point.

That's just ridiculous, Briar. It sounds like she's already given up. Must be very agrivating.

One day at a time is all we can handle, Arbor! Hang in there friend.

Glad to hear you got some meds, Phoebe. It really does sound like we've got the same bug. My sore throat finally eased up today. What a relief. And it feels great to be home now.

V, that tea looks gorgeous! I may settle in with a cup here soon. I've got a lemon ginger tea that is very soothing.

Love this group!

Thanks for the tea, V. I like the mugs, too. The tea/coffee stays warm longer when the top narrows.

Hope you continue to improve, Conquest.

Good morning gang and happy healthy Thursday with all on the mend I hope.

Down hill to the weekend now, but for today I'll be as productive as reasonably possible and let it go at that!

I hope you ladies are feeling better. Such a drag to be sick.

My husband seems to be doing ok with learning the new job. It's hard because he's used to being top dog. This is a big change for him. I know he will adjust, but at present he requires a pretty solid pep talk each night.

The situation with my assistant is so ridiculous. She's not right for the job (nor paralegal work in general, in my opinion).

In any event, today will be a good day, I've decided.

Sounds like a good, positive attitude, Briar.

Nothing much to say here. Being sick has me depressed today. I do have improvement from the antibiotics, but along with some annoying, somewhat frustrating side effects. Will have to see how that goes. It's a lovely, sunny day, but I feel very fatigued and my legs ache. I think that may be side effect of this med. I hope and need to get the dog out for a walk. Poor pup has not had enough exercise the past weeks.

Maybe a little time outdoors will be just what you need to feel a bit better phoebe! And I agree, great attitude to start the day Briar. I had to coach one of my key employees first thing this morning and I had dreaded it......done now and went well.

Glad you got it done and over with, Mark!

Phoebe, I just sat in the sun on the patio for about ten minutes. It was an instant mood booster. Being sick is definitely a downer. Just remember that it's temporary. You'll be feeling like new pretty soon.

I'm still playing paperwork catch up tonight. At least I'm in my pjs though. A quick nap wouldn't hurt either...zzzzz
