I feel sad coming on the board and reading Neo's posts. In my life here at home we had a young man go out this Saturday. Thankfully he is alive, but kicked out of rehab, this morning on a flight home. You know there are no guarantees that if you out, that you'll be coming back at all.It does break my heart.
I'm very grateful to have my HP, AA, and each of you here in my life. I'm signing in for the next 24 hours of my recovery.

Why not start tomorrow at day one and check back in every day. You are neither the first nor the last alcoholic to lie about their drinking. Same with you Neonew.

Make a plan and maybe get some f2f support too with either AA, Refuge Recovery, SMART, WFS, Lifering or whichever method clicks with you.
You both belong here especially at the 24 hours recovery connections and you both deserve to live sober happy lives
Don't give up until the miracle happens and don't give up on yourself because we sure are not giving up on you!!!

:Just lost my post. Wanted to say hi and thank you to Sober Leigh, Tinkerbell, and kittycat. We are rockin' Tink. Kaned my brother is toxic too and has verbally abused and ridiculed me from the earliest days of my childhood. It was so troubling I spoke to my psychiatrist about it and he said we were bound to bump into each other some time some place but until that time have as little as possible to do with him. Too easy. Like you I felt sorry for him (he's very bright to boot making him better at his job) thinking he must have have low-self esteem given the way he ridicules and despises people. He has zero insight into his behaviour towards others. Sobriety has opened the doors for me to be no longer abused by a person who not in a million years would put up with it himself. Assertion not anger. Come back Neo and nogoingback we need you.

So many things I wanna say to Neo and NGB... But I'll sum it up with: You're one of us, whether you're on the wagon or off. The people here know what you're going through because we have been through it, are going through it, or really don't wanna go through it again.
On another note, I wrote half of a really solid song tonight. If the second half is as good as the first I might have a winner.
