Class of July 2013 Part 28
Yes; normally when a storm hits the area and causes widespread outages, electric companies from other states come in to provide assistance and restore services in a few days. This storm will impact 15 states so help will need to come from states further west to help up to 15 struggling states.
The various State Governors have been warning of outages that could last a week.

Yes, I hope it is over-hyped too, let. They do that sometimes here...and it ends up being a fizzler. I'm hoping for Leigh's sake, anyway, that the power stays on and it lasts only a short time. Thinking of you, Leigh,xx
Thanks for your kind words, Venus. Actually, I kind of feel the same way because it was a Friday night and we were in a larger precinct of restaurants on the water....and it wasn't until I posted here this morning that I realised I didn't even notice what the tables next to us were drinking. That is a first!!! I can tell you what meals they had, lol, but nup, didn't notice the drinks. How funny, but how awesome! Woohoo!
I'm not sure, re the date itself...it's time that can only tell really - see what happens. But even going there, I felt relaxed and calm, and that to me is just the important bit. If the person is right, it will happen, if not, all good. I'm not 100% sure about a couple of things, so I'm reserving judgement if he's the right one for me.

We have lots of equipment on stand by here in the N.E. if you get buried. We're only expecting a couple inches from this.
We are getting buried but the power is still on so all is well in LeighLand. I feel truly awful for those who have lost power. Snow is still coming down heavily and drifting; I was hoping I could get a head start on a little shoveling but it's useless due to the wind and drifting. There is about a 4'-5' drift in the driveway - hoping it gets blown away - hah!!!!!
