Sorry this second death has happened, let. I'm sure it's tough, and there's never much support for the supporter - it's a tough gig to read what your loved one needs.

No drink will help this. But you sound strong. Big hugs to you both.

Hi everyone

How are you all? Too many posts to pan through this late at night, but im very sorry Let . Not a good week for your family, much love xx

Well, I'm doing remarkably well. I'm 2 weeks sober today & I feel WONDERFUL.
Going to my friends farm was the best thing I could ever have done :-)

I have been swimming every day , I'm surrounded by animals, friends and I don think I have laughed so much in years.

I feel so alive .

As I swam in the pool this afternoon alone. I took in the sights around me and the silence , apart from a few goldfinches guarding their nests and cheeping away.

I had two blue dragonflies fluttering around me off and on for the whole hour I was in there.

I saw a blue tongued lizard come to the edge of the pool for a drink , then head back into his tall grass home.

I saw a white butterfly fluttering from frangipani to hibiscus.

I rested my face at the edge of th pool & just smiled. As I did , a tiny little skink came to the edge of th pool to get a drink , I didn't move and he came straight to my nose . I giggled at the wonderment of this tiny little being and he scurried back to where he came from.

I love my life, I love being sober , today was heaven .

I want to have happiness and take things in without numbing through my life.

There is so much good in the little things we take for granted

Today was a lesson and recaptured my love of life.

I'm going to be ok

:-)

Thanks all. Hit the ground running today. My wife took our daughter to school and i have our 1 year old son. He was throwing a fit already. A real mammas boy ( expected since i am gone so much for work). But i calmed him down and we need groceries now. Time to battle Royale to get him dressed. Thanks for your support.

Great news, Snooz.

Off to bed for me - praying for a co-operative 1 year old for you, let!

Well the service went well. Some flasks of fireball whiskey in attendance. It soothes the pain for a second I guess. None for me though. I felt kind of numb and sad and good to be sober. It was nice to be supportive. Ironically she past from a smoking caused diseased and my alcohol sobriety date is her birthday July 5. Maybe its a true sign to stay on the band wagon with no detours. I hope so one day at a time.

Nice to see you checking in SnoozyQ. Send us some warm weather Congratulations on 2 weeks!!

So...I had a date tonight. I'm not sure if it will go anywhere, but the nicest thing was that he coped well with the "no thank you" when the inevitable offer of wine came from the waitress. I think my date said, "are you sure?", but in a nice soft way, like when someone asks "are you sure?" when you skip dessert, and we moved on. Nothing more.

Actually, it's only now on reflection that I realise I never even had a pang of "oh, everyone else is drinking", or feeling odd. I've only just realised that now and that is an awesome feeling. It was actually a
Friday night, and I was enjoying it my way and not wishing I was in another skin and could drink. How wonderful!
