Class of July 2013 Part 20
Thank you so much Case and Dee .
I spoke to a lovely woman called Josie. ( it was an omen ) :-) I will be going into the new centre at Glenside they have made specifically for alcoholics . It's brand new and very spiffy, she said I'll love it there.
I felt a good rapore instantly with her & she is even coming in to visit me when I'm there.
I'm quite concerned about my boss and my work cover etc.
I'm supposed to be attending
3 weekly sessions of physio , gym , Pilates and Dr apts
I can't afford to lose my job
But Josie said they won't divulge anything but will give me a certificate which is none of his business.
Hopefully it all works out.
I'm feeling more excited rather than scared now.
It's my second chance .
Xxx

Hi all,
Just checking in - having a quiet day at home after being away all day yesterday. Our day trip to the aquarium was a lot of fun, but we were all exhausted last night. Good for me though - keeping busy, getting home late and being tired keeps my AV away. Day 10 today
Tomorrow we are going to HersheyPark, yum!
Hope everyone is having a great day/night xxx

Leshar?
How are you?
I know you said you don't feel like posting, but please don't think you aren't in my thoughts too.
Bloody hell, I worry for you guys more than most members of my own family! Lol.
Hershey Park, Ladybug? Hmm, not worried about you today, just plain envious! Hehe. Have fun.xx

Hello everybody,
Oh Wendy, so glad you decided to get some help.
You have a lot to live for.
Ladybug, congrats on day 10 and staying active. Hope you enjoyed the ocean exhibits. I liked it so much I made one in my house.lol
SW, I hope your feet are doing better. Shoes definitely help with everything while standing and walking. It all begins at your feet.

Ladybug, I live about 1 1/2 hours away from Hershey Park. Last time I was there I was a chaperone on my son's field trip. It was June 1; the forecast called for 80 degrees and occasional showers, so my son and I wore short sleeves (but he brought a hoodie).
Turned out the high only reached about 68, so I was a bit chilly. Then halfway through the day it started pouring and got even colder! My son and most of his friends were in the center of a long line for a roller coaster; it shut down for the rain. They stood there in the rain for TWO HOURS until it finally stopped!
There was one kid who didn't like roller coasters, so he and I sat on the bench until it started pouring. Then we ran down the hill to a big pavilion where there was an "Up With People!" type group performing. The idea was that we were supposed to eat food while enjoying the entertainment. We had a bite to eat, but we continued to sit there for the two hours while it continued to pour.
The performers were OK talent-wise--but they were performing a bunch or risque country songs around a fake bar. It was highly suggestive--and you cannot imagine how awkward it was to be sitting there with an 8th grade kid! And we were stuck!
Finally the rain stopped and we went back to the roller coaster. Eventually our gang rode it and came down.
Then it started to rain again and the temperature dropped to what felt like 50 F; I was dying I was so cold. Finally I went to a gift shop and bought a hoodie for myself. It got drenched, too--but it was a lot more comfortable than just the short sleeves alone!
My son had a really good time, rain or no rain--and, as for me, it made for a good drama queen story, so I grudgingly smiled, too!
