I love my weights for sure but recently added running to the mix. I've worked up to 5 miles three times per week and think that will make a 5k seem easy breezy. I'm not the marathon type and this amount of running is just about right for me. I plan to run a 5k in August. Wishing you all the best.
Thank you, sweet Kitty! We LOVE U2. It'll be my 3rd time to see them & hubby's 4th. It will be my first ever concert sober. I know I can do it but it's been a mini battle with the AV all day. Hubby is supportive of my sobriety & that helps tremendously. Plus I have you all in my back pocket. I will make it & tomorrow a.m. I will remember everything!! What a crazy concept!
Checking in tonight. Going for another 24 at 8:45p CST.
Congrats to Aussieblue and Tennant Smith on reaching new milestones today. A special shout out to Myroadtorecovery on reaching 5 years! To celebrate all of your impressive accomplishments, today we have an almond butter cake!
Keep up the great work!
Bubovski-I hope you reconsider, but wish you all the best.
Jeni26-congrats on 100 days!
Heartsafire-enjoy the U2 concert! That is so awesome it worked out the way it did.

I'm checking in for the next 24 hours of my recovery, thanks to my Hp, AA, & SR!!
Congrats to those marking a milestone in their recovery today!!!
Hearts ...WOW... U2... A band I've never seen, but have been a big fan since the 80's. You're probably there.... I'm there in spirit singing along with ya!

Howdy gang. One of my favorite things is making my commitment to you all while enjoying my morning coffee. It sets my day off right. It sets my intention for today, I get to read your posts and I feel like I'm part of your journey, and it fills me with gratefulness that this is available to me.
My story - my sister died as an alcoholic 20+ years ago. She did not have nearly the support we have now-a-days and alcoholism wasn't recognized medically like it is now. It was soooo taboo. I think that if she were dealing with it now, she would make it. We are so blessed to be living in this age where we can talk to anybody in the world at anytime of the day/night about any topic.
So part of me feels like I HAVE to make it through this not only for me and my family, but for her. She deserved to live. . . and so do WE!!!
