24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 65
Let's celebrate Almond Buttercrunch today, since today's actual food of the day is not an appropriate item for this forum.
Also, the food of the day is coming to a close, it will soon be a year that I've been posting them and soon they will start to repeat. I'm not a good one with monotony.. Maybe I will find another food-related daily post.
There are 5,639 people in the U.S. listed on whitepages.com with the last name ‘Almond’.
Chocolate manufacturers use 40% of the worlds almonds (2008).
California produced 998 million pounds of almonds in 2004. The largest crop on record was in 2002, with 1.084 billion pounds.
It takes more than 1.2 million bee hives to pollinate California’s Almond crop (over 550,000 acres).
Chocolate manufacturers currently use 40 percent of the world’s almonds and 20 percent of the world’s peanuts.
These numbers are crazy out-dated, almonds are now used in such large numbers that deforestation is becoming a concern, mostly from almond milk consumption. And don't even get me started on the plight of the bees....
Have a great sober day, everyone. I know I will.

Hope to hear more from you!
Have enjoyed your tidbits everyday.
Congrats twin milestoners ! Every day sober is a great day !
I am reminded today of the frequent saying that my worst day sober is 100x better than my best drunk day . I am grateful to be sober. Its been a frustrating week and I need to remember this.
Another 24 hours of gratitude, serenity and sobriety pls ! Its 8:27am here !

Didn't sign in yesterday as we had to evacuate our house Sunday night as the wildfire here in Wenatchee was half a block from our house, we were lucky we had a home to come back to yesterday, many people weren't so lucky. Stayed sober though I was really tempted sitting in a hotel wondering if we'd have a home left. A whole neighborhood right by us is gone, makes you stop and think how quickly you can lose everything.
Sending love and prayers to this devastated community. ♥
Checking in tonight. Going for another 24 hours at 7:58p CST.
Congrats to FaithfulandFree and SarahB60 on reaching new milestones today! To celebrate your awesome accomplishments, tonight we have a toffee almond crunch cake! Keep up the great work!
Zeppodog-how scary! I'm glad your house, as well as you and your family are okay. Sending prayers to those around you.

Another 24 hours for me please on my third day waking up hangover free. But my sleep hasn't been good. Besides the withdraws of sweating like crazy while sleeping. It's been hard to sleep and my sleep for me on my third day has been a short one. The first night I slept sober but still hangover little I had a long sleep 10-12 hours. Second night hard to fall asleep and but got 10 hours of sleep and could of slept longer felt like. Not last night hard to fall asleep and only got 3 and a half hours of sleep.

I am too Kris! It is so much easier to just deal with not sleeping than to deal with 2 problems. At least sober the little sleep I do get is refreshed and I feel much better about myself and life!
Zeppo, wow! That was definitely a close call for your family. I'm so sorry for the families that lost their homes.
