Whether you like blues or not, there's a lot in this songs lyrics for a lot of us
This old road's been so good to me
I've been given much more than I ever dreamed
I won't ever stop playing these blues
That's what I think He put me here to do
I thank the Lord for letting me stay around a little longer
Feel like I've got a lot more to give
I thank the Lord for letting me stay around a little longer
Lord knows I love the life I live
So many good friends I've lost along the way
I know I'll meet 'em again on some uncloudy day
Until then there's more songs to be sung
We've come a long way but we're a long way from being done

Checking in tonight. Going for another 24 hours at 6:10p CST.
Congrats to Coco60, Humbug, Martina12, the much beloved Gilmer for keeping track and celebrating our milestones, and Sugarbear for reaching new milestones today! To celebrate all of their impressive accomplishments, today we have a Caramel Espresso Flan Cake. Keep up the great work you all!! I made sure to make extra for Penitent Magdalene after Soberleigh's suggestion.

As long as I've been alive there were certain artists that I kinda figured would always be here sharing their gifts John Lennon, George Harrison, all The Beatles, Frank Sinatra. .....
Thank you Dee for opening this thread with BB King .
I'll be checking in for the next 24 hours of my recovery.
I saw a photo last night online and shared it on my Facebook. It's a statue of Stevie Ray Vaughn, and on his finger is an AA Ring. :

On my way home now & passed test 1! Was asked only once by someone I'd never met before so understandable; just told him not drinking tonite & story was dead rite there...phew Gnite SR
I've been counting my many blessings just lately and I am feeling rather overwhelmed. Its only since I fully embraced recovery that I've realised just how truly lucky I am.
Congratulations to everyone here because as we all know, every day sober is a milestone.
I'm sitting in my usual spot, waiting for the birds to come along and empty the feeder I filled yesterday. It's the least I can do for them as they cleared my patio of little clumps of dog fur from my spaniels recent clipping to line their nests.
With that I hear the thunder of tiny feet so I'll check in for 24 at 5.41am in the UK.
