Sometimes, having a theme, I just let my thoughts light where they want to. Thinking of trees, roving over my internal landscape of trees, I set upon the juniper tree. My personal experience of the actual juniper is mostly in the form of gin, out of which its berries are made. But when I was a little girl, I had a copy of the Grimm’s story “The Juniper Tree.” I remember I’d never heard of the tree’s name, and I said “juniperper.”
Juniperus, with golden bird.
For any interested readers, here’s a link: Grimm 047: The Juniper Tree. I warn you, it’s quite a grim tale.
I’ll see you here tomorrow, I hope!

Checking in tonight. Going for another 24 hours at 6;50p CST.
Congrats to Labgirl and Alysheba on reaching new milestones today! To celebrate both of their amazing accomplishments, tonight we have a chocolate truffle cake! Keep up the great work!
Courage-You piqued my curiosity in saying the juniper tree story was grim. I would agree it was very dark, but I enjoyed reading it. Thank you!
