I'm happy to report that
this was a very productive,
yet restful weekend.
Organized the basement,
washed piles of laundry,
began selling on eBay again,
even bought crickets for my
eight-legged friends.

Just finishing Day 3 for me.

Have received lots of sound advice.

This time it will be different - 1 day at a time!

Day 2 for me, feeling better esp after afternoon nap. I reread my plan a couple times today, am keeping it in my purse. Hope everyone has a successful week here. It's a good group. Welcome to the latest joiners.

Day three starting to slow down. Worked this morning/afternoon. It was OK. Still too many newbies there messing up my flow but I made absolutely fantastic money without having to sweat too much so that's good.

Cooking some chicken wings now. Going to read for a bit and then watch all my Sunday night television--Mad Men, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Game of Thrones, Bob's Burgers, Silicon Valley, Veep, The Last Man on Earth, Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, and Wolf Hall. Dang, that's a lot of television. Probably won't get to all of it until tomorrow.

No thoughts of drinking so far today. I did go to the grocery store about an hour ago and made a point of not going anywhere near the wine aisle. Didn't feel like tempting fate tonight.

Weekend's over, just a few hours (11) until I'm at the 100 hour mark.

Feel a tiny bit agitated. But partly because of substituting with Coke Zero. Too much caffeine's probably not a good thing right now. . .

First weekend in a while that I haven't had anything to drink and I'm very proud/happy with myself.

I just got linked to this - found it fairly useful. A way of dealing with troublesome thoughts, cravings and suchlike, in under a minute! Nice and relaxing, maybe some people will find it useful, so here it is:

In other news, noticing the symptoms of depression appear to have receded even further. Seems like I'm actually starting to enjoy the things I usually do again, appetite's returning, focus is returning, motivation to do things is also returning.

Day 2 Withdrawels

I am on day 2 after sweating and shivering last night. Have the shakes but standing strong.

Will dust off the mountain bike today to pass my normal drinking time.

Good luck to all for the week lying ahead.

Struggling still.

Maybe because when I gave up before it was relatively 'easy'. I KNOW I can't expect the same this time but need to get my head straight on this :-(

Unfortunately it does get harder VW.

Things will get better - the only way to go is forward, going back just means doing all this again, but worse...

Morning folks - well, it's morning in London, anyhow - I've got a busy day ahead so gonna make some good strong coffee and get in to it. Hope you all have a great day.

There was a huge storm last night, but everything is cool and calm this morning. I am looking forward to another sober day!

On a downside, Wisconsin was just shown to lead the nation in binge drinking rates...and people generally took that as a point of pride. *sigh*

Very true!
I never napped much in past years.

Now that I'm recovering,
I look sooo forward to weekend naps.
Not long ones, maybe an hour at most,
but man do they work wonders!
