Slept til 10:30 AM ....shame on me! LOL! It amazes me my body is so tired during the week then it insists on staying up til 2 AM just because "it's the weekend".
So nice to wake up hangover free and get ready for a day of family time
Feeling good today. Every day sober is a victory. I like my little life <3 and I am so glad I get to share it with my favorites on the 24 thread.
Signing in for 24 more simply because this is the ONLY way of life for me 11AM from the Midwest!!! oxox

I don't care for the lie either.
Why get beat up by the truth?
Staying sober and sane.....that's my goal. If I could tell her my truth and have a loving support system. Then I would. She's 35, and I know her . My heart is safer this way.
Besides, I do take mental meds they advise you not to drink while taking. Just because I have regularly ignored that advice and drank is another matter.
Hugs to all. Hang on together.

Here for another day of sobriety. The past week has been tough...But after TALKING to some of my AA friends, with a different perspective it turns out my week wasn't really that bad.
One thing a friend of mine said yesterday...Alcoholism is a disease of perception.
That was me to a TEE this week. And you know what? It really wasn't THAT bad.
Onto day 73. Thanks SR for being here.
AA is helping me...Even the days were i don't feel like being part of it, but those are the days i need to CONTINUE to be part of it.
We're all in this together. I'm not drinking today. And i hope everyone has a good 24.

One last post on cherry blossoms, in appreciation of a trip that’s now over.
“The blooming period of cherry blossoms are (sic) short, leading to an instantaneous flourish and sudden death. In the Japanese culture, the flower serves as a reminder of mortality and humanity … making people realize that life is short and that they should live it well.” (Cherry Blossom Meaning - EnkiCharity)
See you here tomorrow, I hope!

Felíz Crunchy Taco Day!
Tacos are one of my very favorite things, especially the fish taco. The real kind with the fried fish and the white sauce, the red cabbage and the peppers..... oh, yummy.
Here are some taco tips, for those of you who love to learn.
Founder, Glenn Bell, first opened the chain “Del Tacos,” a hot dog and taco franchise.
He was the first to fry his taco shells in advance. Before then, they were fried on demand.
They were the first fast food chain to have move tie-in promotions.
In 1962, a tacos only cost 19 cents.
Even though the 1990 Chihuahua was an advertising phenomenon, taco sales actually went down during that period.
Here for 24 more. Congrats to all of us, and hugs to anyone struggling today.

I have a long hard day ahead of me, and then two more...I have no idea how I am going to do all I have to do. I am cleaning this flat from top to bottom, and I have to work as well (which is physical also). I need to stay strong...
And I need another 24 please.
A huge Congratulations to yukonm, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to erfra!!!
Love to everyone,
V xx
