24-Hour Recovery Connections Part 46
On the road.
775 miles to deliver wolf pups to their new homes , then to grand child's place for the next week. I am making a sober plan. This side of family has no clue of my struggle. And normally we have a rip roaring moonshine drunk when I visit. So for the last week I have been laying the groundwork for not drinking without exposing my truth to a very rigid and opinionated child. Told her I was on meds and couldn't drink. Hubby at home, but he said to call him or log onto "your support group" if needed.
Another 24 sober???? Yes please.

Hey gang.
Life here is good. I'm feeling much stronger and healthier. Yes, my headaches are starting to dissipate without any meds. Soooo thankful for this new healthcare provider who believes in my "no drugs" stance and is willing to work with me with natural measures. Yep, this body is a drug free zone - - - except for coffee. Hee Hee. You can pray my coffee cup out of my cold, dead hands.
I love my life. Thanks for being part of it.

Thanks, Hearts (too much TV as a kid).
BTW, Maude's husband was Walter (played by the guy in my avi, Bill Macy), as in "God'll getcha for that, Walter".
Arthur was the snooty next-door neighbor, played by the late, great Conrad Bain.
We now return you to your local station
P.S.: It's 6:29 AM and I'm in for another sober 24.

Thanks for setting the record straight, FBL, and keep those avatars coming!

going to "blueprint for sobriety" this morning I went last night, and it was so good I can wait to see what is in store for today.
24 more please and all of us lets keep going, its a wonderful life after alcohol/drugs.

Today we celebrate that pocket of pasta, that pillow of pervasive cheesiness and comfort, the ravioli.
Mastering the art of homemade ravioli is one of my favorite accomplishments, and I have taught this to others in my cooking classes. So tasty, so versatile.
So celebrate the ravioli today- what's your favorite? Mine is pumpkin and sage with a brown butter and pine nut sauce. OH, now I'm hungry.
Here for 24. Thanks friends.

Finally all caught up on the thread. I HAVE to read & thank every post on this thread. It's part of my OCD/sobriety ritual. I'm convinced it's one of my top 3 sobriety tools. It's so helpful & inspiring to read your commitments every day. It helps strengthens mine to know we're in this together.
24 more please in Dallas where, surprise, surprise, it's raining again. Gonna hang out here & paint my toes today. It's my first weekend all alone in the new house (kids at their dad's & hubby on the road). AV tried to invite herself along but I shut that slimy creep down. Sticking close just in case she tries to slink back.
10:50 a.m.
Hugs & love to all here today - especially the milestoners!
