Yep, it has been quiet here! I've mostly been on the undies since there's lots more action there.

Trachy, I hope your interview went well and that it's a job you would like!

Duff, your life must be quite full with a couple of boys :-)

Hope the interview went well, Trach.

I haven't been around because I am on vacation with spotty internet; plus, I've been up to my neck in school.

Had two moments today in which I had a quick, strong, but fleeting desire to drink to flip the bird. Drinking is not my way of coping.

Knock 'em dead!

While we were out driving, we saw two box turtles crossing the road.

That's great, Trachy! Please keep us posted. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and send positive thoughts your way.

Gilmer, are you and hubby still bonding? Nice to get away for a bit :-)

More bickering than I had hoped for in an anniversary trip.

It is pleasant watching TV in the evenings. That's always a sure-fire bond. I hadn't expected to be this fault-finding--it feels like I'm on a runaway train! I got a three-hour nap today, though, which really did me good. And it is nice to sit here and scan SR while my husband enjoys himself reading. Yesterday i got quite a bit of studying done in the afternoon.

I have enjoyed cooking--the meals have been a great success! Tonight I'm going to try grilled chicken basted with butter and herbes de Provence.

The randy tail-chasing in the world of turtles just never ends.

Good morning Marchers

I'm here Duff! To misquote both Shoes and Toots I am as constant as the sun in Bahston. Hee hee, I laughed when I read that and I kept saying it to myself all day "Bahston", I've been saying that word wrong all my life. We say "Bost-n".

Well I pulled off a surprise 50th lunch for our employee yesterday, we kidnapped her from our shop and brought her home for lunch with a few others. Unfortunately we had to go back to work after lunch but it was a good time.

Life I've been thinking about you, how are things going? I found myself thinking about something you said yesterday:

Both those people have your best interests at heart I'm sure but, in the end, you are an adult and where you do this must be your decision. Dee pointed out thinking about how you are going to put things into place to keep sobriety and I'd urge you to think about that. It's not so much the big decisions but the little everyday ones that enable me to keep my sobriety. Being here morning and evening is one of them, it keeps me actively thinking about sobriety so as not to become complacent. Once the line is drawn in the sand to stop then we have to do things to keep us stopped. Don't let another day slip through your fingers Life, Scotland isn't a magic bullet nor is Australia, you need to be your own magic bullet. Today's a good day to start.

Have a good day peeps.

"full" is one way to describe it I'm finding that as they are getting older things are getting busier and more hectic. I just wish I had more energy to keep up with them!

Marcher, so glad you pulled off a successful surprise birthday lunch -- you and Mr. M. must be fun to work for.

Gilmer, I missed that you were on an anniversary trip! Enjoy your getaway.

Glad to see some activity around here!

Hi guys,
Trachy good luck moving forward to the next interview.

Duff the more independent their little lives become, the harder you have to work to keep up! Until they fly the nest and then you get a wee respite from actual tail chasing until the grand kids come along and it all starts over with waaaaay less energy!!!

It is our last full day today with our 2 they head off lunchtime tomorrow. Hubby will be grumpy and moody for a while after, best to avoid him!

Gilmer, difficult not to bicker in a small space without the weather to best appreciate the great outdoors. Just keep reminding yourselves of the reason for to be trip.

Life, any decisions?

Budd, how's Buddville?

Sass, how is the IOP going? Today is one isn't it?

Marcher I would love to work for you. Scratch that, I want you to adopt me!

North, how are you feeling now? Fully recovered and building yourself back up I hope

All my lovely March pals, I hope this week is going well for you.

It has been clear the past three mornings, so I have been able to go for a brisk walk. I am currently cooling off before I take a shower. My husband will clean the grill; then off we go to the next destination: a pleasant motel close to where our two out-of-the-house sons live. We will be visiting them till Saturday; then back to the mountains to do laundry, then to a fancier hotel for a night before we go home for the day; then off to Chambersburg, PA to have service work done on the RV.

Wednesday home for good!

Hi all!!!

Buddville is busy right now, mostly driving back and forth to the auto parts store to return whatever they sold me and get the correct parts, You would think they should know more about these things than I do. But at least I now have functioning windshield wipers and washers, turn signals and speedometer.

Budd, it sounds like you are making good progress! How are Jezzie and Max doing?

Life and Babs, please send us at least a smoke signal to let us know how you are doing!

Everyone sounds like they're keeping busy! I head to my parents' tomorrow with the kids. My dad just had his second surgery in a month and I'm going up to keep my mother company.

I'll tell you guys sometimes the only thing that keeps me sober is knowing how miserable the days would be trying to get through them with a hangover. It disturbs me that I still fantasize about drinking - it will be one year in October. I wish I could say I never think about drinking anymore but I do.

I hope that didn't sound like I'm going to drink - only that I wish I didn't still want to at times!

Anyway, just feeling tired lately. So I think I'll head to bed early tonight. Everyone have a good one (night or morning!!).

Good morning Marchers It's still raining in Paradise but it's all good, the garden is looking fabulous -- as are the weeds. I'm looking forward to the weekend after a busy week.

Toots I will be happy to adopt you, I wonder if SR handles such paper work?

Have a good day peeps.
