Class of May 2014 Part 3
Cutengay... thought of you today as I bought gummy lifesavers at wawa (east coast convenience store), so I put them in the fridge and wow yummy gummy in my tummy! Sorry the weekend wasnt exciting, but what is exciting is making it through sober! Hugs!
Made it through day 12. Went for all you eat chicken wings on a roof top patio after work...probably a mistake...lots of tables drinking Budweiser and smoking...anyways made it through...drank 3 ginger ales and 60 wings.
Scary part was on the subway going home REALLY felt like going the liquor store...managed to fight it off though.
Home now...safe and sound...day 12 is through. Feels like today was a learning day...don't think I'll put myself in that position again for awhile at least...
Thank you SR for keeping me accountable for another day.

Sooooo, I made it through the long weekend sober, a small victory! Worked most of it, received some God winks, and hung out with my friend and sponsor who is so good to me! Taught her grandkids how to swim freestyle and backstroke and how to float on their backs if they get tired out so they can breath. Been a long time since I have enjoyed just being content doing what I love, and honestly it made me feel good to see the kids be excited when they did it... so very greatful to be on to day 16 and so thankfulffor SR as this thread an all of you have helped beyond words. I know it is almost June, but I will be staying around and God willing celebrating in June 1 month. Love u all. Sorry for blowing up the thread.
Day 19 here, one day away from my second decade :-). Was up at 5 and have cleaned the house before work. Going to prep my dinner now so it's ready when I get back from my swim this evening. Heading to a meeting at lunch, it's a new one so a little nervous but hopefully should spot a few people I know. Hope everyone has a great day!
Had an amazing day with my sister and her family yesterday. I bought myself some jewellery as a treat. I like to say thank you to myself for not drinking.
Today I am going to be gardening with some new people.
I am in a "start a new notebook" sort of a mood today. That is a very good sign. It means I am getting organised. I am decluttering to make my life simpler. Less stuff to clean around, maintain and worry over... more time to get out into the world. Lots of literature on that stuff on the net if anyone is interested in looking into that.
Good luck everyone. I think of the Class of May as I go about my days and it helps. thanks .

I made it to that club once Gwen. I'm going to do it again.
Congratulations supersonic! I think 4 is huge as the first 3 are the worst for me. I'm happy for all making it through the weekend and adding another day. I remember the whole weekend!

Well, woken up on my second Tuesday sober. If I can make it to Thursday I will have two weeks under my belt!
I finally told my mum, she knew but was pleased I told her. Mentioned this site and she said to keep using it, keep on the 24 hour sign up. It's a relief she knows, so supportive.

Wel done everyone Be heading to my first ever AA meeting in about an hour, pretty nervous but optimistic as well. If it works for a lot of other people then there is no reason it can't work for me. Have a good one everyone
I couldn't find where it was and was 5 mins late and the doors were locked, didn't really want to interrupt them and walk in with all eyes on me.Its not one I wanted to go to really anyway. But there's one this evening in a better area so I'm going to go to that anyway :-)
