Class Of March 2014
I ate alot too!! Trying to not worry about that....one thing at a time right!! I have read so many people say that one way to not drink is keep your belly full. I just don't want to replace one addiction for another :/
I plan to wake up tomorrow SOBER and jump on the treadmill for a good run Anyone else in here enjoy exercise?

Sounds like y'all are doing great! I like the idea of the AV (alcoholic voice) from Rational Recovery. I think of it like a little demon who lies to me about how I'll feel good if I drink and I can do moderation, etc. Right. I then decided I have an SV (sugar voice). I have now settled on AV as "addict voice." Whenever I feel drawn to unhealthy repetitive behaviors, I shout that AV down and tell it to get lost.
It didn't work yesterday (huge sugar binge) but it worked today. I'm going to reward myself with some blueberries for desert.
Take care of yourselves. It's worth it. The first few weeks without alcohol were a challenge, no doubt. But it gets better.

Hello Class of March
I just wanted to stop by and congratulate you on making a decision. While I'm a recent graduate of the February class (31-days today), I just want you to know that even though you might be struggling early on, every day and week gets easier. I know you've heard that before, but it's really true. As you begin to change your behaviors that lead to your triggers, you'll begin to think a lot less about them and focus on other healthier options to spend your time. Stop by SR daily, many times of the day, post when you feel comfortable, but most importantly read what everyone else is saying. It confirms that your aren't alone and everything you are feeling or thinking is normal at this stage.
Wishing all of you the best,
Wishing all of you the best,
I have to go to my rod and gun club tonight to play my shuffleboard league. I usually get trashed. I am refocusing. Now I'm not going to avoid going, I am not missing my fun night and be trapped in my house for an addiction to an addictive, socially acceptable product..aka alcohol. I'm going to have a cola. I haven't had one in a long time. Tonight's a good night for a sweet sugary treat.
