Everyone may begin signing in again for this new 24. Roster posted 24
Hours from now at 10pm EST USA 2/28.
Feelings, nothing more than feelings!
When we get clean and sober there is a saying that goes like this..
The good thing is you get your feelings back. The bad thing is that you get your
feelings back.
Most people think they are either happy or sad but often there is more going on and
each feeling can be labeled.
Here is a list of Bad Feelings..
Angry, Anxious, Bored, Crazy, Cynical, Depressed, Jealous, Indifferent, Melancholy,
Pessimistic, Restless, Rushed, , Sleepy, Stressed, Uncomfortable, Frustrated,
Indifferent, Aggravated, Guilty, Lonely,
and Good Feelings...
Optimistic, Peaceful,Thankful, Relieved, Satisfied, Hopeful, Accepting, Content
Our feelings are gonna be kinda raw the first couple months of sobriety maybe even
a little longer. But feelings are neither good or bad. They just are as long as we don't
act out on them in a negative way.
Every single feeling on the list above was a good excuse for me to drink
and drug in the past.
If we are to get and stay sober that is all going to have to change.
The important thing is that we do not overreact to any of them. By actually feeling the
feelings we are going to find out who we are and what makes us tick.
This is going to be how we grow up emotionally and spiritually. Instead of running from
each uncomfortable feeling we need to walk right through it, talk to others, seek their advice,
journal, pray for it's removal and realize our part in it.
Sometimes we bring some of these negative feelings onto ourselves due to our lack
of acceptance and tolerance .
Either the glass is half full or half empty. We think in terms of black and white.
But Really nothing is 100% bad and nothing is 100% good.
Today let's ask ourselves "Am I feeding the good feelings and starving the bad?"
We really can choose how we feel by changing our perspective. Faith and acceptance
is key along with gratitude. How are we feeling today?
Like the song below, Sometimes we are the windshield and sometimes we are the
bug. But we don't have to drink and or use over it today.
*Song For The Day -Mary Chapin Carpenter--The Bug
Please pray for strength for Grace2 and for her father who is undergoing medical
tests. Thank You!

deek out 10:53 pm EST USA nitey nite God Bless!
deeker is a nick name my hubby gave me years and years ago. But deek means to dodge. Maybe cuz I played hard to get.
deke is to dodge, fake out in hockey, A deke is an ice hockey technique which a player uses to get past an opponent or "fake out" an opposing player.[1] The term is a Canadianism formed by abbreviating decoy.
whoops wrong definition. lol
deek (diːk)
vb
1. (tr; imperative) Edinburgh and Northumbrian to look at: deek that!.
[perhaps of Romany origin]
just a silly name he calls me
