One Year & Under Club Part 25
SJ, glad that your sobriety is in check. Keep warm, keep reading.
BF, such a great pic. Soon I can play dueling beach pics with you.
Babs, so cool that you are enjoying sobriety.
DP, I went to bed at 8:45 pm. Hum, guess that's why I am up so early. I do love the early mornings though.
Courage, I love your dry sense of humor. At least I think you are tongue-in-cheek at times?
Renarde, for sure keeping it one day at a time works for me.
Hey, Gracie. Thanks for the catching up posts. I am so happy that some of the pressures you feel will be lifted some as a result of your brothers visit.
Hi, Tanja. I hope all is going well for you and you are enjoying this holiday season? It is for sure that you bring joy to many in the fellowship.
Well, this is my last day at my aunts house. My tasks here are almost complete. I am very sad to be leaving my daily 5:30 AA group here. I will miss so many of them.
Okay Toots, my plan is as follows: Leaving Christmas day on an 8 hour drive to Myrtle beach. Two days of golf there, then heading south to Tampa. Spending a couple days with my sister, then off to St Croix.
My time there will include a couple rounds of golf each week, but not the primary reason that I am going. I am hoping to continue my healing of mind, body and spirit. Not only sobriety, but total recovery growth. Meditation, healthy eating, exercise, AA meeting and contemplation are going to be my daily activities and adventures. I will also be looking to explore opportunities and potential to live there on a more permanent basis.
However, that's next week. While this week must be highly task driven, I do have some friend visits planned. It will also be cool getting back to my home group meetings. It has been weeks since I have attended any back there.
Enjoy the day, Undies. Hey, don't drink, okay?
Carlos xx

Hi, my dear Undies.
So the agreement is signed, money is in the safety deposit box, and we are waiting for the registration chamber to check and officially approve the agreement. It will take 10 days.
I am emotionally exhausted.
Thank you all A LOT for your good thoughts and vibes. I was thinking of you when we were negotiating all this and it helped me to stay calm.
Now I have to find myself a place to live in.
Toots - I hope your interview went well today!
See you all later)

Oh my goodness, this sobriety thing can be joyously overwhelming at times.
Are my eyes deceiving me, or:
MB has a done deal that works...
and Courage has turned a YEAR SOBER...
and Toots's have been granted entry...
ALL IN ONE DAY!!!! You three must be very happy and proud. Yes, sobriety works!
I can add a PM that I received last night from an Undie that warmed my heart. Damn, this stuff gets emotional.
I am so proud to be part of this team!
Carlos xx

Congratulations. Félicitations. Bravo. I keep being in awe of people making 1 year. Please don't leave this thread now! How are you going to celebrate? I do hope the phantom limbs feeling will disappear with each and every year and may you be grateful that you, YOU, saved your life. Congratulations.

I am surely the most fortunate woman in the world! You know I had the stress issue over Thanksgiving. Well, for Christmas, in spite of our dogged fiscal belt-tightening this year, my husband encouraged me just now to find out about turkey dinner catering options for our family's Christmas dinner! Yee-haw!
Hi again Undies
Thank you Gilmer, what a lovely thing to say. Fun with my brother! Hmm not sure about that, he's not what you could call fun, lol, he's very kind and generous but he's also very unsociable. Well it wouldn't do for us all to be the same would it?
Carlos, thank you. Your Christmas plans sound idyllic, can I come with you please? I'm only litte, I could squeeze into your case. Seriously, I think the break will do you good.
Midnight, I'm so relieved for you, now it's all done and dusted you can draw a line under it and get on with living your life. I have a good feeling that everything will work out for you now.
Hi Jim, good to see your post too. Thank you for the p.m, I will reply to it asap. xx
Toots, I'm delighted for you, that's great news, well done you.
D.G my posts have been a bit touch and go too, good to see you're still checking in though. xxx
Hi Dottie, Babs and Nuway, love to you all.
Hi Dee and I hope you are well, are you having some time off over the holidays?
Gilmer, I'm well jel, you're so, so lucky, I wish my other half would suggest that, it would be bliss.
We went to a Panto on Saturday, Peter Pan, it was fantastic, the children just loved it. I'm a bit mad with Captain Hook though! He told everyone that he calls children 'Stinky poo bums' and our boy has been calling everyone that ever since!
I'm off to bed now
Sleep well you Undies
