Day 115 and I'm out to break my former record of about 6 months sobriety in over 50 years of drinking. As I realise the power of the 'one day at a time' concept I'll have 24 more hours please. Day by day, with God's help,

Listen To Your Heart
Our thoughts don't always have the things of the heart in mind.
If we stop and be still our hearts will tell us what is at the root of joy.
It is not money or material wealth it is usually something we know we need to change
or do and it is usually something difficult.
It can be very uncomfortable listening to what our hearts are saying to us. And
some of us don't want to slow down enough to listen. But it is there.
The answer to life's problems is right there inside your heart.
That voice of our heart is calling us into action.
We all know in our hearts exactly what we need to do, it just takes courage and
willingness to actually do it.
We have to be still.
The peace we are craving from a drink , drug ,sex, gambling or food etc. It will
never last for very long and we will be left once again with our thoughts.
Those things that our heart is really telling us.
Take the time to really listen to your heart. What is it really telling you today? It has
the answer. It is the voice of truth. We must be willing to do what it is telling us today.
That voice wants to help us, because it cares.
If we listen to that voice and do what it is really telling us, we have a good chance at recovery.
I am quite certain that I personally know what that voice is for me..
And I finally started listening to it.

In for another 24. The reasons for my drinking are beginning to surface. The pain that i numbed is revealing itself and this is pushing me further from the bottle. I'm choosing to deal with the issues now. Thank you SR. Hope each of you have a wonderful week.

Today is the day. You don't have to put it off anymore. Let's take that leap of faith and
walk thru our fears and just think about the 24 Hours ahead of us.

One Month is BIG, Happy Congrats to Feennixx. SoberHawk, TKS, and Bitmap!! 14 years much congratulations!! It's Bobbi here at 7:45pm checking in from home. So fun to go on vacation and so thankful to have a home to come home to.... Yes, another 24 hours for me please.
