I am signing up for another 24 at 7:15AM from east Texas. Happy that my only worry this morning is whether I attempt my first intermediate/advanced yoga class in another 2 hours.

What can we do?
What can we do today that will make a difference in our tomorrow?
We can start right now.
Maybe we have been giving this sobriety thing a whirl for a long time
now and what we are doing is not quite working.
Maybe we need to check out an AA or NA meeting.
Or maybe seeing a counselor or therapist. Maybe out patient therapy or Detox.
What can we do today? Do we need to make a few calls and find
out what our options are?
If we are stuck and it has been awhile and we keep returning to our
drug of choice whether it be alcohol or drugs then it is safe to say
that the approach we are trying right now is not quite working
or maybe we are not working hard enough at it.
Maybe it is just not enough and we need a little extra support or direction.
It is time! Lets not let another day go by. Let's figure out what we
need to do to move forward and put the past behind us and really
start living our lives free from alcohol and drugs.
Let's figure out what those tools are that we need to pick up daily
to keep this addiction in remission.
People are doing it. People at SR are doing it. People in AA are doing
it. People in NA are doing it. People doing AVRT are doing it.
The question is, Is what you are doing working?
What works for some people may not work for you.
Whatever you are doing, you have to give yourself fully to it.
AA has a saying "Half measures availed us nothing".
Well I think it's that way towards anything in life. You get out what
you put in. What can we do for our recovery today?
Look at people's profiles, look for people who have been clean and sober for awhile.
Ask them what is working for them and then when they tell you
take their suggestions.
The 24 Hour Club is just one tool. There are many others and
we need a full tool box at all times.
We must always have an open mind when our future and life is on the line and be
willing to do what it takes.
