My prior life of grief and shame
It truly had drinking to blame.
Now I'm allowed joy
Just as all girls and boys
It's a sober life I'm proud to claim.

So now I do cautiously whisper
To bros and sobriety sisters:
You haven't a clue
What life's stored for you
And to think we all couldve missed her!

But somehow the universe dreampt
Up a life that was free of contempt
For our soul has been waiting
And been busy creating
The sober life for which we're meant.

Sobriety's been waiting for us
While drinking was driving our bus
Our own Gods had a plan
We are held in the hand
Of an artist whom we can trust.
