A friend told me this was a good place to whine about stuff so here it goes.

I'm sick of snow already, it's meat loaf for supper again, the cat jumped on me while I was on the couch and scored a direct hit who know where and the rent is too damn high! That's it for now, if I think of more stuff I'll be back.

Roomie's kitten is always climbing up my leg to get to my lap... and he's a mitten-pawed kitty and that extra toe has a claw too so it really hurts being used as a ladder, or you could say, as a 'cadder'.

the rent is too damn high
Wasn't that a political party of one of the recent candidates for NY governor!

my ceramic tile floor had water on it!!! from the snow/boots/do,etc...i did not mop fast enough, i was taking my potatoes and bananas to the storage closet in the back of the house (its a cold closet in the winter)....I slipped on the floor, my bananas went flying, located in the main bathroom by the toilet....i banged my head on a glass door, fell o9n my padded area...and my foot twisted...i hate the winter, just hate it.

I have steamy mopped the floor in the kitchen, the pad i cleaned with was so filthy by the time i finished...and I recently mopped not even a week ago!...i am gimping around, feel very grumbly now!...no doubt i will be black and blue again and sore.

i vacuumed up the equivalent of 2 cats in the hair dept...sheese!

off to visit mama with a fresh hot turkey pot-pie i baked her...(well i stuck it in the oven, Marie Callendar actually made it),

my old dry swiffer mop is disentegrating, i have to replace that too.

Fandy - thank God you didn't break the glass & cut your head, or break something else.

Invisigoth - That was a most excellent Four-in-one whine. Good start, but don't slack off. We have to keep the whiney momentum flowing.

Kev - A new job - that's great! Hope it's all you want it to be & then some.

Was supposed to start dieting today but went to the grocery store & ice cream was bogo. What's a whiner to do?

mine is too...Son wondered what I did with it...I hardly use it so it must be age.

My whine is that my kitty keeps sneezing. At least 2 times in a row and they are wet sneezes. Can cats catch cold? I thought it was because of the wood burning stove and bought a new, larger, better air filter about a month ago. Son just discovered that we (he) didn't put the filters in correctly. Perhaps I should vacuum more...I hate housework....happy whinning...

Yes, they can get upper respiratory ailments. If kitty keeps on wet sneezing best take to the vet for diagnosis.

Ck went back to school today... without going thru the full laundry basket of her clothes that's been sitting downstairs for two years!! So I 'went thru it' myself and dumped them all in a trash bag. So there... Now it's done...

Fandy, I waxed my hardwood floors once - just once - and never have I fallen down so much. Looked beautiful but so dangerous... especially for a klutz like me...

For Hevyn it could go like this: "We admitted we were powerless over ice cream and that our eating had become unmanageable." But remember, ice cream won't make you crash your car... unless you're trying to eat a bowl of it while driving.

If we are what we eat then I'm a chubby hubby.

Are you going to tell her or wait and see if she notices when she comes home? I'm thinking she won't if they've been sitting there for two years, but it could be funny. I doubt I'd notice if my mom through away half the crap I have in her garage.

Whininess from me... my throat and sinuses hurt from chain-smoking last night. I hadn't smoked in a long time. Definitely my own fault!

WTS, I'm sure she'll eventually notice, and maybe complain but I'll just tell her that she had almost three weeks on break to sort thru them and didn't so I did her a favor and did it myself. And yeah, they'd been there for two years and she never got clothes out of it to wear so they're not valuable to her, I guess.

I'm trying to get tired enough to sleep... laid in bed wide awake so finally got up and went upstairs. Will try again...

Good luck with the sleeping! I'm avoiding it now because I'm quite sure it would be unsuccessful so I don't want to go through the frustration of trying.

Queeny has put her Grumpy Pants away and is ready to tackle the world today....well, the world of vacation at least

Yesterday I went to look at some property here, it was said to be quite reasonable in price, very private back off the main track and by the water...who could resist?

Well, it was everything they said it was, and more....goats, donkeys and rednecks everywhere!!!

Happy Whiny Monday, friends. May all your whines be shrill and ear splitting today.

Darling dk just called me, asking if I could bring her a cappacino, said she was 'hungry'!! I said hell no. She lives half a block from the place that has it!! Talk about lazy!

The kid has chutzpa, if nothing else. The definition of 'chutzpa': someone who murders both parents and then begs the court for mercy cause they're an orphan! Describes her perfectly...

Fandy - I love the countdown to spring. For our Aussies it'll be countdown to winter, though, I suppose.

Least - and I'm a Chunky Monkey

Weather Whine....Wet, Windy, Wild, and WHITE.....Waaaaah.

Just scared the crap out of myself! Was looking for some papers in my file cabinet and found a half empty bottle of gin!!! Of course I poured it down the drain and threw the bottle away, but omg!! I thought I'd disposed of all my wreckage!

Sheesh!!

Happy (belated) Birthday, Ann!!! :>))

Earl did it!

Pattee!!!
The Golden Years!!!
What a tribute to your whinyness!!! :>)
Thank you, my friend!

Hevyn,
Thanks for asking about school.... :>)
I started, and was in class on the forth day,
Trying to catch up on the work I missed,
since I started late, and missed all the introductory stuff,
(foundation of all the medical vocabulary we need to know.)

Anyway, the admissions director came in and pulled me out,
to tell me that the guy from Voc Rehab,
who assured me I was "fully funded"
Called her and said I was *not* funded after all!

Sure, I could take a loan for the school,
and another for health care,
and risk my house doing so....
Cuz, if I can't sell it in this market,
I would not be able to PAY the dang loan!!!

And the voc rehab guy
did not return my call; her THREE calls and
*another* voc guy's call who was there,
and *remembers* the first voc rehab guy
telling me I was fully funded!!!
Must be in hiding.
Big fat jerk!

So, I'm not in school anymore...

And I'm a bigger jerk, cuz,
I let it get to me...
Stressed out...
And started smoking again
after more than two months...

That's my whine for the day.

On another note,
Debbie Friedman, a Jewish singer/songwriter, whom I had the pleasure to meet, passed away unexpectedly yesterday....
http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...ongwriter.html
The world will miss her angelic voice and her beautiful spirit.
RIP, Debbie...

Shalom!

to become healthy, self-sufficient ADULTS, they must learn to function on their own
OMG...lightbulb moment....as I am waiting on hold trying to figure out son's college financial problems...why am I doing this? He isn't 17 years old...he just turned 24! OMG called him (not home of course) and told him that he has to do this he isn't a kid! Just pisses me off...think I'll go take a shower...

found a half empty bottle of gin!!!
wondering which is better to find a 1/2 empty bottle or a 1/2 full bottle....hmmm?
