am going to be a real whiney whitney....

It's freakin' cold here....!!!

am wearing cotton, flannel and fleece clothing with fuzzy pink slippers (no bunny...he musta skipped out to Florida already) and I'm still cold!

more hot coffee would only give me the jitters that my hand already experiences each time I reach for the thermostat but then refuse to turn it on.

I'm not ready for all this clothing, $$ heat bills, sights of [albeit beautiful] apple orchards.

(Fands)...I don't do this every year, but watched some documentaries last night...I felt like I did when I watched 9/11 unfold 9 years ago...except for the many heartfelt stories like yours who lost loved ones. sigh.

Operative word for the day about this early chill...UGGG!

I still have the AC running???? but it is weird weather about 70, cool and clammy...lots of rain today, but we surely need it. i've been up since 437AM...Fandy and Sammy were having a biotch-slapfest..over my body as i tried to sleep....ARGH! i am tired but could not drift back off to sleep.

The deer have chomped up all of my side garden foliage....the Hastas are down to the nubs and so are the dahlias and colius...i should ask them if they want dressing on their salads?

Hbee i suggest baking something to take the chill out of the kitchen??? bread? cookies? lasagna?

Ahhh my whining peeps! It is reassuring to me somehow that things are slow enough that we are left with only the weather to whine about. Sounds like a plan to me.

This time of year drives me nuts! It's warm, it's cold, it's warm, it's cold. My laundry piles double because of adding layers of differing degrees off and on throughout the day.

Today is cloudy then sunny then cloudy again. I admit I cannot stand the blazing heat and would prefer I nice winter day over summer humidity in Virginia, but sheesh. It's 85 in the sun and 62 when a cloud passes by.

Humblebee, if you were closer to me I'd send my youngest cat to you. He is on a snuggling spree today and it's cutting into my typing speed astronomically. With this little hot box of mine, you could probably toss out that thermostat.

MMMMM, cookies sound goood!

Ahhhh, the in laws are finally gone. I was whining so hard earlier I couldn't even post. My dear sweet husband invited his parents over for the football game and dinner. That would've been great had the game started at 3 or 4, but it didn't it started at 1. So fast forward through my favorite part of Sundays where i enjoy the paper and cutting out coupons, to me running through the market, rushing home to prepare game time treats, and pre-prepare things for dinner, all the while cleaning, and yelling at my aforesaid MESSY kids to get up and get moving. Now I'm gonna have to whine about all the stuff I usually get done on Sundays that I can't now that its already 5:15, and dinners mess needs to be cleaned, the kids need to be nagged about homework and showers, and I have to prepare my plans for work tomorrow.. But I hope all my whiner friends enjoyed their day!! The only thing I DON"T have to whine about is the weather!!

My fellow whiners... please keep your fingers crossed for me. I got a call from a college student about my room for rent! SHe's coming tomorrow evening to see it. I pray she's a decent sort and will take it as I need help with my rent every month.

Praying madly that this will work out to the satisfaction of both her and I.

Crossing my fingers, least. Make a list of questions, and ask her if she whines!!!! Hope it all works out for you.

No whine tonight, gang, and tomorrow I am heading out early for a shopathon in the big city...hoping to save Bubba big bucks of course.

So I may not see you until tomorrow night.

Keep the whines flowing, whiners are winners!!!

"Night, Least....
I wish you the best with the college student.
I had a grad student once. She left in the middle of the night.
I got her full rent. And a beautiful dish she left behind.
But, she was a weirdo....

Only here a few days.
Had *lots* of stressful situations going on.
I kind of knew, (last minute when she told me), that it wouldn't work.
Hubby had died less than a year earlier.
Both parents elderly, and she cared for them -- in the SOUTH
(I live in the North!)
Dog recently died,
And, she was going to Law School! OY!!!

I even asked her if she was going to be ok.
She insisted she was going to be so....
NOT!
Gonzo, just like that. LOL!

I wish you *much* better luck,
And I think an undergrad may just be better after all.
Let mom and dad pay for kiddie.
And you just lay down simple laws.

I've got new people working in my house now.
An old friend who did *beautiful* tile work in my kitchen.
And some of his friends.
They are doing *great* work already,
fixing the disaster of the jokers that were here before.
Thank G*D!

Then, I'm selling.
And getting OUT!

I want to buy a place for cash.
Owe nothing.
And only have to pay bills -- little ones.
So I can relax a bit, and not stress so much.

Whine on, whiners!

Shalom!

Teach I can totally relate! as i've sid b4 on other threads, i am taking the $$$ i used to spend on booze every month and paying extra on my mortgage principal.....I have already lopped off 6 months off the balance...i figured with the volatile market, it was the best place to throw my *disposable income*...becus the stocks seem to just suck it up and not give back lately. I'm not planning on moving anytime soon and my mortgage is still very small....but NOT to have to pay it would be a real treat.

Least, remember get 1st months rent last months rent and 1 month security deposit which you will refund after she leaves the room in good condition....be absolutley flipping crystal clear about house rules too, in writing.....( i speak from renting experience)....references are nice too.

RZ, I LOVE Dana Carv. "church lady"....you just know my warped sense of humor don't you?

Welcome Oak, yes this is the place to yap and complain, all whines are welcome and our motto is "WHINERS are WINNERS"!

i slept like the dead last night, no animal fights on my body....only sweet little pookie meowing softly in my ear at 5;15AM to inform me that it was time to replenish the food dishes and clean his box....he is VERY particular about his litter.

Welcome to Whiners, Oak! Yep, a place just for whining!

I woke up early today ready to get the neighbor's dogs... but then remembered, it's a school holiday and the dogs won't be here today... all the better for my room-cleaning efforts.

Heard from foster dog's new mommy. He's doing great in his new home! So glad to hear it.

Well, better finish my coffee and get busy. Lots to do today.
