Whiny Wednesday...since Queeny declares it official:

You know it's Fall when the weather person forecasts temps
between 58-72...couldn't hit the temp target with an elephant.

Fands, awesome paydown $$...no hangover taboot!

Good news...those annoying little black flies don't like the cold - good riddance! Either that or their buddies witnessed too many squishing deaths on my monitor. ewwww.

its a small flying insect that doesnt actually bite you, it pees on you and that creates the itch (im serious, ask any aussie lol). they go away after about 5 days but are more irritating than mosquito bites....usually they dont come out till a bit later in the year by which time I have repellent on every day because I can not stand having itchy bites!!!

Mom always said...Better to be p!ssed on than p!ssed off!

Fridge whines...very worthy...mine had a heart attack while I was in the hospital having surgery. All food spoiled and stunk up the house.

Needed a new one (unrepairable) but had to wait until the bandages came off my eyes....waaah.

Woke up with a whine... and a headache... out of the first drinking dream in a long time. Felt sick when I woke up but it went away. Headache stayed tho. Wonder if the headache came from the dream or the dream came from the headache? A nasty end to a nice nap...

My fridge did the not freeze thing...I thought it was too full or had over frosted on the coils (because there was frost on the coils).

This affected the fridge part too, and I was certain I would have to replace it.

Called fridge repair guy and it was a $30 part (a sensor, I think but could be wrong) and is running like brand new.

Check it out before you throw in the towel.

Those midges sound dreadful. We have very few mosquitoes or biting flying little bugs here...but we have big hairy bumble bees (no offense HB) the size of a dog....well, almost. Horrid creatures and stupid this time of year.

I have no personal whines today but will wallow in the whines of others.

Bugs weren't around most of the summer - too hot & dry I guess. Now they're all coming out, so many "daddy long legs" & other huge, yucky spiders - wasps, gnats, flies. No skeeters here - there's no standing water.

HB - I've seen Jones New York stuff in our Goodwill, too. Bought a Talbot's blazer last year for $10.00 - tags still on.

Ainslie had 3-whines-in-one, excellent job madam!

"Bike Week" here on the Delmarva Peninsula, and they are zooming by our house in droves on their way to the beach.

The fridge came with the house, so I just have to get my landlord to replace it. In the meantime, im putting drinks in the freezer till theyre almost frozen and then drinking them....although I frequently forget and theres quite a few exploded coke cans in there now too. Meh. I can survive without most other stuff that goes in the fridge - just not cold drinks in this crazy humidity! I must invest in one of those freestanding water coolers! Thanks for the advice though - glad to be a tenant at times like this!

Biting bugs are everywhere here.....interestingly enough I used to get bitten a lot more when I had a lot of alcohol in my bloodstream. Ive heard various theories surrounding why this is - and its NOT just because I spend less time drinking in the sun, ill be sitting with other drinkers and theyll get hammered by mozzies/midgies, while I get one or two bites. Maybe they just go for the sweetest blood around?

Hev, say it ain't so...icky yellow spiders still around?!? eek!

Ainslie, would venture to guess that the sugar from the alcohol in the bloodstream makes a drinker mighty tasty to a biting bug...or they like the buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. wonder if they get hangovers??

hbee...did you know that coffeemate makes a Honey-vanilla creamer? to per fectly with the tea? The TeaKene brand (german) make a better version of the celestial seasonings one and it's cheaper, but makes me sleepy too fast

Well I have heard this theory but the thing is that I drink a hell of a lot of coke, and other very sugary drinks! I even asked my doctor and she shook her head and gave me the usual 'you're mad and you know it' look. English is her second language though so I may check with another doctor - she may not have understood the question LOL.

On the other hand, maybe they are just boozing bugs!

skeeters? they sound interesting!

Mosquitoes, heh-heh. Are our Aussies just now going into Summer? I can't keep it straight.

Fands - that's one creamer I've missed, & I thought I had them all. I don't put it in tea, though. I'll have to look for that one.

Getting dark by 7:30 now - waaaaah - what happend to 9:00pm?
