Ozy,
I don't know how much a ticket to Rhode Island is,
but, there's very few left overs anyway!
I'll give you a ring next new year's party, though!
Hope you're feeling better, mxchaos. :>)
Ananda,
Sorry you didn't get to be first this time.
Just remember this, though.
It may be true that the early bird gets the worm, but,
it's the second mouse that gets the cheese!
Just had some leftover zucchini bread for breakfast with my coffee.
Yummy! I *love* zucchini bread! :>)
Gonna have a few frog legs for lunch, I think.
So, what's my whine?
I woke up too early!
And it's a holiday day off!!! :>(
And, as an aside,
If anyone is interested, and has a desire,
A neighbor friend of mine, Sue S., has gone to Haiti for years,
working to improve education and health care.
She's gone with this excellent organization:
Partners In Health (PIH), Health Care for the Poor
Partners in Health are in Haiti now,
Working to help those devastated by the earthquake.
I have made a donation.
Every little bit helps.
*If* you are able and willing to help,
I can assure you that this is an organization
worthy of your trust.
Thanks for your time.
Shalom!

Woke up sick in the middle of the night. Was up and down several times and each time I came back to bed the dogs had taken over more of my space and had almost pushed me off the bed!
I have lost 2 pounds and finding the diet not bad, a little too much "sweets" but not bad at all
My whine today is the eye exam I am heading to shortly. Nothing wrong with my eyes, I just can't see
Okay, so print has gotten smaller or my arms have gotten shorter, but nothing a little bifocal adjustment can't fix, right?
Happy Monday Whiners!!!! Any day is a good day when it begins with a whine.

I found a new and very worthy whine just now... went to have tea with my mom and discovered the brake pedal is going all the way to the floor!
the damn brakes were just fixed for this same problem last year, now they're bad again!!
I WILL NOT drink over this bad news!!!

This is a very whiny day for me... Just called the mechanic who replaced the brake lines last May. He's going to look at it tomorrow am to see what's wrong now. If it's the lines he replaced that have gone bad he'll 'stand behind them'... I hope that means replacing them again for free... but, as he said, and I already knew, there are lots of reasons for the pedal to go all the way to the floor, so it may be a different problem this time...
I'm praying hard that it's the lines he replaced so it won't cost me anything. But I'm terribly afraid that it could be something else - something I can't afford to fix - and that I'll be driving it in first gear to get dk to and from her job...
Please God let it be something easy or cheap to fix! There is no money in the budget for car repairs this month... or any month, for that matter...
