Living In Sobriety - Part 20
bee my daughter is 16 and has been undergoing treatment for depression. She had a rather major setback the last 2 weeks and it has taken it's toll on us both it's hard to watch her apathy , and while I know pushing, hasseling, is not the answer I found myself doing just that. We had a good session with her psychologist today, tears and talking and we are both a bit calmer.
Going to treat myself to a Chai tea latte today
how about treating yourself to a meeting. I think you should get a number from an AA female member. A strong woman. soomeone you can talk too and relate with. We cant do this alone.
you see Bee what really happened there was.......I made a potion to turn stone into a cat! but I thought better of the journey to liverpool and also soup does not travel well. So I thought I will give it to the cats...cant do any harm, they are cats already!! now I have 2 of these lassies strolling around the yard!!
good marlee it will be good for you to share your progress with us here. I personally will be very interested to hear how you get on. Its important to get at least one number. nothing will change marlee till you start changing. I really wish you well and want to to get and stay sober. your one of the LIS can after all!!! We have a good support group going on here, xo

See all of you in a few. Have to leave
and get the butt to work.
Marlee, I ditto what Nel said.
Now is the time to start taking your recovery, SERIOUSLY
I believe you can do this honey. Remember its a WE program.
I drink, WE stay sober.

Mornin'...I even got up extra early to catch the crowd at the coffee machine...
Bee...how fantastic that they are going to be there for you. When my family went to the meeting with me, it was very, very significant. They are so proud of you...and rightfully so. Parenthood is the toughest job we will ever have and your example will be with them throughout their lives whenever they face their own demons. I'll bet that they will remember yours and take strength from your journey. I can't wait to hear all about it...wait...what am I saying...I'll have a front row seat!
Marlee, I hope that you slept well. As has been said before, if this were easy, SR wouldn't exist. Time for a scooch....
I'm sorry about your daughter Kate. Maybe parenthood will be the theme TODAY...anyways, we hurt SO MUCH for them and instinctually want to provide the bandaid for the boo boo. My heart goes out to you!
Hiya Louis and Bro...BTW, you two...That essay brought everyone to mind in their own journey of scooch, scooch, bog, backtrack, scooch...you two have also been through quite a bit recently.
Nel's Bell's...your bells are ringing this mornin'! I want some of your brew, your coffee or whatever it is that's bringing out your witty ripostes and insights.
Ro, are you feeling better this morning? Hugs and hope....
Hiya Zip and anyone I missed. Brain Backup issues...

scooch is a good thing Nel. It means moving forward...as in scooching on your backside a little bit at a time. I think you'd really like this book and her style (humorous, but insightful...humble and grateful).
BTW, I am trying to spend a lot of time with our Irish neighbors and am picking up the words (lads...end of the day...gobshites) and the accent, so I'll fit right in when I visit you!
