I registered my Son for High School yesterday, I almost cried (what a sap!) It was easy taking him to Kindergarten, but High School is the last leg of the journey, after this I have to admit he is an adult. I want to hold him close as long as I can, but my job as a Parent is to teach him to be self-sufficient and start to let go....sob, why do they grow up sp fast.

Red, just wait until he is in 10th grade, you'll be counting the days until he graduates, LOL.

Big hugs anyway, you sound like a great mom

I had a brainwave, the batteries from my phone that died fit my mouse. My new phone came with new batteries, so I am back into the race again

Kids!!! It's always the damn kids!!!!!! I'm done with being maid, taxi, and ATM. They're on their own. I had a small cleaning job for the LOUD VOICED LADY and was almost crazy by the time I got out of there. Not to mention being claustrophobic since she has so much "stuff" there's only a path thru every room in the house. I can't call what I do "cleaning" but she pays me for it, so be it. I'd be doing her a great favor if I just splashed gasoline on the whole mess and threw in a lighted match... tho she wouldn't like that as she likes her "stuff"... so I'll just keep on cleaning the "path" and use the money for cat food...

Thanks Ann, I was thinking I am just going to have to do the next right thing between now and when I land at my next house and beyond and have faith that it will be ok. However, spent all of yesterday trying to raise a small amount of money so that I can cover bills and other items. Of course no one will lend me any so I have to just get on best I can. Not going to waste another day.

Good thing is I did not beat myself or anyone else up over this.

I had a similiar experience with my 1st cordless phone Ann. The one I have now is Fabbie

Centrelink have a great number of supplements Kev - even if you're not with Centrelink you may be eligible for Special Benefit help

Are you in crisis or needing special help?

otherwise you can only do what we all do mate - call the creditors, explain the situation and make a payment plan

I hope things get better

Actually, for those of us not DESIGNATED "rat grandparents", rats are great pets: clean, sweet, smart, and loving. I've had my own rats for pets and loved them. their only fault is not living long enough...

I just don't like being forced to take over my ck's rats' care, as I didn't choose to do so...

Last time it was my Dog rolling in poo, this time....

My cat, Goblin, brings in a dead bird and gets feathers all over the floors I had just mopped.

Soggy feathers anyone?

Do you know how hard they are to clean up?

Pets, gotta love em......

Faerie, my Toby brought in a squirrel once (he wasn't much of a bird cat) when I left the door open for him while I was in the shower. It wasn't pretty.

Welcome back Scaredy, you've got some whining to catch up on.

Woke up today to find I had no internet connection!!! Spent a half hour on the phone with the 'help desk' guy and he fixed the problem. I was so upset over my connection with the world being severed but now it's alright.

Just got my cell phone bill today... dk had ONE HUNDRED AND ONE dollars in texting charges! And that's over and above the texting plan she is on!! Her dad put her and ck both on his cell plan but I will have to use the entire next child support check just to pay her texting charges from before she was taken off my plan!!! I'm just glad she's not on my plan anymore or I'd have to cancel her service... and rip her a new rectum as well...

Least, is there any reason she cannot pay you back for this? Or, if she has no income could she perhaps "earn" your respect again by doing extra chores around the house? Want me to come down there with my steel toed shin-kicking bunny slippers?

My whine today, Zipperman doesn't like cats.

EVERYONE loves cats, or should.
