kevo....My strategy for that beating up thing:
"I" Surrender to the winning side!
When "I" stop fighting; I win.

It works for me.

btw.... Whiners are Winners.

I'm so glad that things are moving forward with the house.

Laid down this morning with a headache. Woke up three hours later, without the headache, and realized I'd missed an appt...

I have been trying for a week to kill a nest of stinging bugs (wasps, hornets, or yellow jackets - don't know what they are) that is under the siding by my front door. I've been spraying that foam night and day, and it must be working cause there's a huge pile of dead bugs under the nest hole. They're still going in and out tho, so will have to spray til there's no more traffic in and out of the nest. It scares the hell out of me cause I'm allergic to certain stinging insects and could have a serious reaction if stung.

Summer time is hell for bothersome bugs!!

Two months ago I was kind enough to give pk and her fiance an extra set of keys to my van, since they only had a pick up truck and couldn't transport both of them plus baby... Now they have a car and I asked pk for my extra keys back. She gave me all kinds of sh!t and said they wanted to keep my keys "for emergencies". I said, "no, I want them back" and she hung up on me!!!! I am going over there tomorrow to get my keys back and tell her how ungrateful and selfish she is. If she cuts off all communication between us, including my new grandson, so be it. I'm not tolerating this crap anymore...

Detaching with love... I'm learning how to do that...

I hate summer bugs too, especially the wasps that come out in August and remove any hope of eating anything outdoors and sting without aggravation. Keep spraying, least, those flying critters are hardy and take work to eliminate the nests.

Kev, you may feel in limbo right now, selling your home and maybe not sure of where you are going, but I have found that this is a time to travel in blind faith that you are being led to where you are supposed to be and all will be well.

I'm working on my daily whine but boiled eggs that will not peel are working their way to the top of my list. It's supposed to mean that they are very fresh when they won't peel, but it just takes the joy right out of egg salad when those little bits of shell show up everywhere. Queens should not have to peel eggs, it just isn't regal.

Not hungry or tired today, but angry and lonely. Angry at my kids and lonely... just because I'm tired of being alone right now. I usually don't mind being alone, but today it just feels awful...

Just washed, dried, and put away the second full load of towels and washcloths I've done in the last two days!!! That does it!!! I'm putting a lock on the towel cupboard and allowing dk two towels a week. If she leaves them on the floor she'll have to use dirty cat-hairy towels, that's all.

Also just cleaned the rats' cage... cause ck hasn't done it once all summer. It's not my job but I couldn't stand to see them living in filth so I cleaned it for them, not for lazy ck!

It's not fair to put all that work on me, but the towel problem can be solved with a lock on the cabinet door and the rat cage will be kept clean for the critters' comfort and sanitation.

... I'm one of the few people dying in anticipation of "empty nest syndrome"... I can't wait to have the place to myself!!!

This is one of those days, I tell ya, of things not working. First my phone...it's cordless and worked fine earlier this morning (and yes my phone bill is paid) and then somehow the connection between the phone piece and the piece you set it in to recharge just stopped connecting. Couldn't phone out and when the phone would ring I couldn't answer it either. I got it less than 3 months ago.

So I took it back to where I bought it for them to test it there and it's just one of those fluky things. They gave me a replacement (I paid to upgrade) and came home and now have to wait for the new batteries to recharge before I can use it. So no phone for me today.

Then...I turned on my laptop to come to SR and my cordless mouse batteries are deader than dead (and yes, you CAN be deader than dead ) So now I am trying to maneuver around here with the scrolly finger thingy and it's not going where my fingers are telling it to go and it is annoying the poop out of me.

I can't go out for new batteries until tomorrow so you'll just have to put up with me if my posts look peculiar, until then.
