wind is howling. they postponed white sox opening day, so my plan to watch hometown baseball on tv this afternoon is a bust. i may get a pedicure

me and mr k cleaned hofish's tank last night. how long do goldfish live?!?!

She flushed my goldfish when I was a kid. I won them at the PTA carnival. Maybe that's why I'm an addict!

A guy I went to high school with and Facebook friend was killed on his motorcycle yesterday. So very sad. :praying

Happy sober Monday all. Cold and rainy/snowy today. Woke up again with four dogs on the bed. Slept warm and safe last night. Grateful for another day to be sober. Have an appt with shrink today but other than that, the day is mine to do with as I please. Will probably have a Star Trek marathon again since it will be too cold and wet to walk the dogs. Glad I have a nice warm house to be in.
Will be picking up dk today to spend the week with me. So will have to find some things for us to do together.

it's funny how we remember those little things our parents did when we were little.. like the goldfish. when my daughter was about 6 or 7, i took her on one of those old fashioned wooden roller coasters at six flags - the original screaming eagle.
she begged and begged me to let her go on it, and then when i finally gave in and did - it scared the crap out of her. she hates rides now, won't even go to on a carnival ride like a ferris wheel, merry-go-round, etc. to this day, she will tell that story to ANYONE that will listen - the day her mother traumatized her at six flags

I hate amusement parks. They do not amuse me at all. Too much walking, too many people around, too much money spent, and I do NOT 'do' rides. My life is a roller coaster as it is, I don't need to scare or sicken myself any more than life already does!
All I know about the new Star Trek is that it's about Kirk and Spock's early years. It comes out in May and I will see it, tho not until it gets to our second-run theatre downtown. I'd rather give them my money than the multiplex uptown.
