I'm still around(I know-so what?-lol) Just thought I'd say hi to all the idiots though.I do read-I'm just not posting much anymore these days.I always check in though.

I hope Stoney makes it back and finds a real solution.

I hope Gyps comes back eventually too.

I saw a poster today that said 'Snow sucks' and I thought of you, Ro I hope your back is getting better.

I've had a good and busy day.I seem to be doing better each day with sobriety-even if it's not without its challenges.

I even went to an A.A meeting with my father last week.I want to post about it.Huge story behind it all-remember when I first arrived and was so scared of him ever finding out? I told him about 2 months ago that I'm also an alcoholic-wasn't even intending to-but it was an amazing and oh so special conversation I will never forget. We talked for 2 hours.Lots of tears and healing too.

I am so blessed to have him in my life.

I'm just so thankful today.Sorry for rambling.

Love to you all,

Julesxox

P.S-RK-that spider e mail thing was freakin hilarious! Thanks for the laughs!

Last time I knew boston harbor was still pretty bad but I havent sailed in it in years.... We had to scrub the hull for days after we sailed in it for the tall ships.
We still get "red tide" all over new england, but that is an infliction that bi-valves get because of too much bacteria in the water in warmer months (raw sewage I believe).

I wouldnt swim in Revere because Im not allowed in town. No big hair, I dont drive a pontiac or talk like that. Must have been a big change moving out west from there. I lived in El Paso when I was young and still remember (somehow) the midwest.

I went to the wake for a woman in the program who I havent seen for 3 or 4 months and she promised to be back soon. We told her she was missed and there was a seat waiting for her. Her son (who goes to the same university that I did, but it was a college then) is on the same path as I was when I was there. Really messed up but really good grades.

I am trying to stay humble because someone @ NA before I got to the meeting said I had recommended the meeting to him. It does really make me feel good to help another addict or alkie. Seems as though I have been doing alot of that lately. I guess this is what they mean by giving back what has been given so freely to me.

One of my friends went back out and just barely missed being arrested w 40 kilos.
OH MY GOD !!! He is losing his junk. All I can do for him is talk as I am in no position to help in any other way. So scarey. Could have been me in the past or could be me if I pick up again.

Its really cold and windy here and winter isnt even here yet.

Hi Nands

Still missing "my posts" link, thanks button and where have all the smileys gone ???
Alkies HATE change...from what Im told.....;-p

Will they ever be back ???

They just changed part of the drunk driving laws and the punishment part. I dont have to do any more aftercare/drunk school after I finish the first 26 weeks and I will be done in a little less than 3 months. Then I can officially get a liscense. I still have my appeal to look forward to as well. There is always hope.

Gyps and Stoney are gone? D:

I'm still alive, still sober, not much else. I should really post more on SR.

Hi Jules, I am really happy to see that you signed in tonight. You sound good. I'm also very glad that you connected with your father - I remember the reservations you had about him ever finding out about your alcoholism and I'm proud of you for taking a risk and trusting. I'd love to hear your AA story sometime.

My back is much better, thanks. Snow is a part of life here, I just like to b!tch about it.

I'm very worried about Paul - it's the not knowing how he is that is the most painful. But - as difficult as it is, I do understand that this is about him and nobody else. I used to take it so personally.

Hi Scott! I'm sorry to hear about the lady from the fellowship that died. Did she OD?

Addiction is all around us - and it does feel good to be able to do something useful about it - that's what amazes me - that the thing I felt the greatest shame over - 'my past' really has become an asset. In recovery, anyway. It's good to see you reaching out and helping others too, Scott.

Well - tomorrow is Hump Day (or Dry Hump Day as we affectionately refer to it at work) -and I'm glad for that. I'm always so dang tired!

Oh - and it's good to see that there is hope for you with regards to your driving prohibition. Good stuff.

Nighters idiots.

Hi Anna,

Stone will be back, when we say 'gone' we mean he's drinking again.

Gyps is taking some time off from posting, but just celebrated 2 years sober.

I do hope you decide to post more - we miss you around here.

Hey, Ro. How have you been?

I do really need to start posting here regularly, instead of just when things go sh*tty.

@Nands - What, Bottoms? I panicked when I couldn't find it in the normal forum. XD

Hi peeps...

I am weirded out today...couldn't get on SR...my daily routine is 10:00 to 1:00.

PM'd the owner at 1:30!! That is just crazy, I know...but I had no idea how set

my routine was, and.. how much I depend on SR for my own support.

Not ashamed to say it. So I got out of the house.

Anyhow..I am glad it's back..

Hi Jules.

Hi Ro,
Now that your back is better can you please fix mine as well as my isms ?
It really killing.
The Doctor prescribed something that Im a little scared to take for the pain. I gave it to someone I thought I could trust. They never mentioned anything in 2 years of knowing them about ANY drugs. Apparently not ! Now I have nothing but for Ibuprophen which doesnt work. At least I have an appointment with my neurologist tomorrow at 5.

Woops that should have read that her mother died.....I didnt know her mom, but she is a sweetie and her son is really a good guy.

I should read before I hit post reply.
