: Sir Dee

Had to do my mature obscure act today by filling out my Section-8 electronic paperwork today. I also arranged utility and cable payments for the next month. Next is to find a way to transfer my bank statement to my spreadsheet. I put around with my tiny electric slot cars, listing all the missing parts due to my drugging past. Is what it is and I move onward . Rain now with more intense rain on the way. Water falling from the sky is free to drink or Gas Mart is $2.00. Plus its acid rain, and cleans out the gut...LOL.

Grateful -

- homemade burritos
- rags. bucks for the 3rd-time leaky living room ceiling
- beautiful sunrises and sunsets
- the magic of laughter

Yeehaw a brand new thread. I feel a sense of accomplishment with filling up Gratitude Threads. Good stuff.

Tonight I'm grateful for
- knowing people at mass today
- a good long ski with a friend
- starting to knit the back of my fuzzy green sweater

Sleep well everyone.

Yeehaw, a new thread. I thought the same thing too!

Thank you Dee for the thread!

Grateful for a new thread so we can continue to post our gratefulness. I find that thinking and posting about what I am grateful for each day is just as important to me as posting in the 24 hour thread that I am going to do another 24 hours.
Grateful to be sober and alive.
Grateful for being so productive today and having such a clear head to achieve that.
Grateful for music to keep me so upbeat today.

Thanks for the new thread Dee!
Alpine, I loved your last meme in the previous thread

I may find some snow today to crunch around in, but first, fishing!
Grateful to have a day off after working through the weekend.
Grateful to come home to leftover Mexican food.
Grateful to have reached the ripe old age of 60 and be sober and loving life.

Now it's time to make a 2 hour drive north for the morning meeting of the Broken Down Old Farts Fishing Club (BDOFFC)

Thank you Dee! Hope all is well with you and yours!
Grateful for a new thread and for our SR peeps who take such good care of us.
Astro, was that your way of telling us today is your birthday? If so, a very happy bday to my friend. I hope you have a great day!
Well, the sun we had this morning soon turned into a big storm and it's been storming all day. Just now it sounds like the heavy rain may have turned to light rain. Wow, this is a lot of rain.
Grateful for a no drama day. Grateful that we have all we need and for our blessings. Grateful for my mom and am really trying to be patient with her more and more. I think some of the things she can't help and others she probably doesn't want to think about. We all have moments like that, so I'm not that judgmental of a person, but I'm trying to be even less so. Grateful to be practicing tolerance. Still thinking of possibly going to N. Carolina. I've always wanted to live on or very near the beach. Luckily, I have a little time to see what is going to happen with this exodus out of CA. I'm sure there will be a period of adjustment and we'll see which way things will go. I'm hoping it becomes more affordable to live, which may be clouds in my coffee....
Grateful for you all of you. Have a wonderful evening. Pleasant Dreams!

Hi-De-Ho Folks Thanks For Ya'll Post

Fell asleep in the late afternoon and just now catching the replay end of the NASCAR Daytona Race I was watching before I dipped out. My guy Brad a fellow Michigander got wrecked. He was in 2nd place a couple of laps from the end of the race. Come on man!!!

Grateful -

- my connection to you guys You're the best!
- kitty pets and leg rubs Purrrrrr
- when the rain decides to let up.

I think being grateful is like making amends to myself. I find I have better self-worth believing how lucky I truly am for what I have.

See ya soon

Aly, my big 60 was Saturday, thank you!

Grateful for the peaceful winter weather and blankets of snow on my drive north, the aspen glades were striking.
Grateful for a few trout to bring home, but mostly thankful for the fishing time with my friend.
Grateful to get lots of steps in, my legs felt marvelous while I was snowshoeing, movement keeps the arthritis at bay.
Grateful to come home to my wife and dog, and a hot meal.

Astro, Happy Sober Anniversary too. Congratulations!
Grateful to be watching an old English comedy. Some of them are so funny. I wish they would show them more often, but grateful for when they are on!
It pretty much rained all day. Although I got up early and did my laundry (Yay, finally!) it hadn't started raining yet, thankfully. I like it best when it rains at night, and we have nice days. But it's not up to me!
Grateful this headache I've been fighting off is not from imbibing. Just one of those things.
Grateful to have seen and heard from my friend Courage yesterday. Very nice to hear from her. I love being surprised by an old friend. I have another friend who checks in with me once or twice a year anymore, kind of waiting to hear from her. Maybe I'll contact her. Grateful for the way we can contact people here.
Grateful for all my blessings. Grateful to have everything we need. Grateful for my mom's usual generosity. Grateful she is ok although she looks a little more bent and frailer as time goes on. Grateful there are no hard feelings between she and I.
Grateful for all of you and your lovely posts. Have a wonderful evening and pleasant dreams all.

Hello dear practitioners of gratitude.

Happy Birthday Astro. Welcome to the 60s! I have just gotten through that year and it has been pretty good. I hope it will be for you.

Tonight I'm grateful for
- a phone call with my sister and Dad
- adding a day to a pretty continual string of days where I have been getting in good solid workouts - it feels good
-talking to a new accountant
- getting ahold of my last tax document

It was a bit of a long boring day but I got things done, talked to family and friends and got some exercise so I will take it.

Happy sober anniversary too Astro

Hello to all you grateful people !

Grateful to be sober and alive.
Grateful for sober sleep. Every morning when I wake up, I am so amazed and grateful for how well I slept.
Grateful for realizing another wonderful gift that being sober has given me. I don't dwell on things endlessly now. I move on and it feels really good.

Thank you all for the Birthday wishes, yes 60 on Saturday and 19 today, I am grateful for every moment of it. And Alpine, I am very happy to share this birthday month with you!

Grateful for the chard, kale, and broccoli a customer paid me with yesterday, I wasn't going to charge her for a 5 minute repair but I'll take freshly grown veggies any day!
Grateful to sauté the chard for dinner and have it with shrimp and rice.
Grateful for our Dessert Bullet, I've been making "healthy" desserts with frozen fruit and they're amazing, my taste buds are happy.
Grateful for 19 years of being restored to life and every day is like my wildest dreams come true, thank you God for each day I wake up breathing and alive.
