FBL - I hope your brother, and you, are getting by right now as well as you can.
NL - your family life sounds most entertaining! And note please we all need to see that movie when it's released.
Fearless - three good night's sleep in a row could make a person envious! Really pleased for you. That's a thing I remember well about drinking. How you can still make (kind of) reasonable judgements after one glass but once you hit the next glass and the next and so on your judgemeant is toast.
Rusty - zip and gratitude for another week of sober adventures? Excellent. So glad you're feeling better.
Aly - I hope your doctor was able to do something about the Gabapentin.
Deserto - 92 weeks is such a lot! Respect and congratulations.
NC - very pleased to see your post. I know that feeling of wanting to get here but having to attend instead to chores and life admin life admin etc. Look forward to a longer post when you get a chance but in the meantime thank you for your condolences.
Hev - apols for copying but I too am grateful to be alive, awake, aware. And I am grateful also for the 'gifts' that Buttermarsh listed. I can mostly lay claim to those or at least to be a work in progress.
Grateful for an Ok week thus far. Cold but bright weather so I've been able to do quite a bit of walking albeit with my usual walking frame (the pushchair!). Almost escaped the dreaded toddler swimming on Monday afternoon, having decided that if she didn't want to go I'd go with my granddaughter's preference. Of course, having sensed my reluctance in that special way all small children have she announced she definitely wanted to go! Still, now done and dusted for this week.
Grateful to be meeting up with my theatre chums this evening to see a new play by Tom Stoppard. Who is obviously and impressively still writing plays at the age of 82.
Mags - permanently grateful for home deliveries even if they do throw up some surprises if you don't read the quantities carefully!
Wish you all a good Wednesday.

Grateful that I was able to talk to my brother again last night. I'm using some of my recovery tools to try to help him (one day at a time, next right thing, etc.) I even got him to laugh a little, which was so good to hear.
Grateful for another day sober.

Most grateful today to have in my life two loving and responsible adult children and their wonderful mates. Hoping they and their SOs don't think me too mushy for sending them Valentine's Day cards.
Grateful to know to carve out time to get further care; no more ignoring my health concerns.
Grateful to have fun with the news from (annual occurrence in) Gobbler's Knob Punxsutawney, Pa.! where, " At sunrise on Groundhog Day, members of Punxsutawney Phil's top hat-wearing inner circle revealed the groundhog declared: “Spring will be early, it's a certainty.” (from online article, "Groundhog Day 2020...") Is it not obvious I cannot wait for spring, lol.

Zip - You're such a good boy. Mama is fortunate to have you.
NC - Good to see you back.
Rose - Enjoy the play. What a body of work he has.
Grateful you liked my 3 A's - I should add 'alert', Numblady.
Grateful I was able to shake off the creepy feeling from a bad dream.
Grateful for a bright & shiny day - will be short-lived 'cause snow's on the way.
Grateful to not be taking things so personally these days. It isn't all about me.
Grateful to acknowledge my faults & to work on fixing me.
Hope everyone's enjoying their day.

Grateful for a cup of hot coffee and a bowl of not hot cereal to start off the day. Carbs = quick energy!

FBL - so glad you (your conplete sober self) is there for your brother,
CK - too, too true. There is no price.
Ananya - they will not think you mushy at all. Trust me on this!
NC - sounds you had a close encounter of the worst kind with the AV. But we'd all have been able to tell you you would triumph, however close it felt. And so it proved.
Zip - your mama sounds wonderful. (And indeed sounds like she is more than capable of doing the hauling if required!)
Aly - ditto. Absolutely beautiful day here in London but so, so chilly!
Hev - I enjoyed the play. Really well written and even funny in parts although given it's focus on the experience of Jews in Austria before, during and after world war 2 it was obviously, more than anything else, a very sombre topic.
NL - what a treat to be going on a girls trip. Hope it's fun.
Hi expenguin/sunpengwn and dubpunk - very nice to meet you both. Please note you've both sent my automatic spell checker into overdrive!
Grateful to have visited this morning the school where I am a trustee for various information-sharing meetings, all of which were useful and interesting.
Grateful the sickness bug that struck my husband down earlier this week is abating a bit and even more selfishly grateful that I haven't been afflicted, at least thus far.
Grateful for an afternoon off. Having an argument with myself about whether it should be spent watching programmes on catch up or on a healthy walk out. I'll keep you informed!
