Thank you Opi for our first 2020 thread.

Grateful for a bit of unseasonably warm weather. Short lived I'm sure but nice to go out in one jacket only.
Thankful I'm getting a bit beyond the Christmas eating mentality at last. In other words, eating for one again!
Grateful I got back to sleep, eventually, after the irritating 3 am wake up.
Grateful for the cup of tea I'm drinking, the fact and relief of my continuing sobriety and this moment of quiet before the rest of the day kicks in.
Feels later than midweek but it's not so I wish everyone a good Wednesday.

Grateful for all of you

Grateful that Soberwolf and Mags are both keeping toasty!
Grateful also that Mags has found calm, something I certainly need to work on.
Grateful Rose is enjoying some peaceful time to drink tea and post ahead of the busyness of the day ahead. Sorry to hear about the 3am wake up - I've been waking up through the night the last couple days myself and empathise!

Take care all x

Opi, thanks for new thread.
Fearless, I seriously hope to achieve the parenting milestone with my son of electronics just breaking as opposed to being damaged in a fit of rage.

Grateful my new boss gave me a raise yesterday. Money wouldn’t make me stay and it’s still a fair amount less than some of my colleagues but it meant a lot that she would do something like that so early in her tenure. And that she at least apparently noticed the disparity. I could never understand how my old boss and his deputy thought it made sense with all they expect of me.
Grateful for my new puffy jacket.
Grateful for my coffee mug.
Grateful for a mostly clear head.
Grateful that middle of the night worrying can sometimes help.
Grateful for my gifts and my foibles.
Grateful for warm blankets, nice company, and another day of sober living among friends.

Mags - that would have absslutely given me the heebie jeebies! Tell your lovely cat not to do that again.

NL - good on your new boss. Nice if you've ended up with someone who cares about her workforce!

NewChapter - our day, or rather night, will come!. But it hasn't come for me yet: another night of waking in the early hours. Hope you did a bit better.

Aly - I hope you're feeling a. It better today.

Rusty - hope you're doing well and that there are some good drumming opportunities on the horizon.

Hev - I like the idea of striving to be a blessing to someone. I shall keep that in my mind today and hopefully put it into action.

Grateful we're all in this together.
Grateful for a slightly later start to my day. I can idle my time for at least an hour now. That's a bit of a luxury.
Grateful I got some good books for Christmas. Started one last night.
Grateful and thankful that the idea, and reality, of hangovers is fading further and further into the past.

Grateful to also use Hev’s mantra/idea of being a blessing to someone today.
Grateful for my new ankle boots, even if I end up looking like some type of rag-tag militia woman or Amelia Bedelia because I lack fashion sense.
Grateful I have a relatively high tolerance of and fondness for change.
Grateful for free workouts on YouTube.
Grateful for time and space to post.
Grateful it’s my daughter’s 9th birthday and I won’t have a single drink while the focus is properly directed on her.
Grateful to be here.

Good Morning Gratters

Grateful to you all.
Grateful for my horse.
Grateful to have received a really lovely text message from one of my horsey friends this morning.
Grateful to be down 4lbs on the scales after overdoing it to the max this festive season! (Still 6lbs to go to get back to my 'comfortable' weight, mind you)

Grateful SW enjoyed a nice breakfast.
Grateful FBL's co-worker is back.
Grateful SoberToday54 is enjoying hangover-free life.
Grateful NL received a raise in acknowledgment of how crazy hard she works. Happy Birthday to your sweet daughter! I hope you all have a wonderful time celebrating this evening 💜
Grateful for RZ's post.
Grateful Hevyn is joining me in eating 'somewhat sensibly' again - we've got this! I also agree, it is so nice to come here and realise how similar we all are; though we hail from all corners of the country/globe, of different ages, backgrounds and life experiences, it is humbling and so heartwarming to connect on a human level as we all come here to keep ourselves honest, support and care for one another and encourage each other with kindness as we journey through sobriety and life in general
Grateful Anaya enjoyed restful sleep.
Grateful Deserto is enjoying the return to work and that Henry is happy!
Grateful for Mags reassurance re: finding peace - thank you 💜 I'm glad you managed to prevent acquiring a new roommate with four legs and a tail!
Grateful Rose is enjoying a slightly more leisurely morning. I love reading! Please do share some recommendations if the books are good.

Take care all
