Grateful for the happiness I feel.
Grateful that I found the time to get my car serviced today.
Grateful that I have food in the refrigerator so I don't have to eat fast food.

Grateful for my three friends who showed up to paint a wall at our church. Grateful it will challenge others to do some volunteer work.

Grateful to be sober.
Grateful my husband stayed by my side long enough for me to get sober and appreciate his sacrifice.
Grateful to have found a hobby that actually fills the void.

Grateful that I'm more secure of who I am after all these years of sobriety, even if I choose to be somewhat of a loner and not get too much involved in social events.

Grateful I keep my life fairly simple because life can sometimes be hard enough.

Grateful I turn my will and life over to God every morning.

Grateful this hot summer night to have enjoyed a walk in the dark on the beach ... sober;
to be hydrated because I'm sober; and
to look forward to a cooked breakfast when I get up on Sunday morning because I won't be hungover because I'm sober.
