Thank you, V-cat, Pattee, Ipanema, and free! I finally got someone to bring me some cake today, although it was flourless which seems like an oxymoron to me. It was still tasty and very kind of my friend to get it for me. Grateful for that.

And grateful to be re-visiting Hitchcock after a 20-some year hiatus.

Grateful my hubby quickly repaired what I broke.
Grateful I didn't buy beer even though hubby stopped for gas at my favorite place to buy it.
Grateful the cravings are more manageable most of the time now.
Grateful for all I accomplished today.

Grateful to be sober today and for quite a while now. All these days, one at a time. It really is something.

Grateful for this thread and the people!

Grateful that when my little great niece stayed over I remembered this and said it to her:

Vespers
Little Boy kneels at the foot of the bed,
Droops on the little hands little gold head.
Hush! Hush! Whisper who dares!
Christopher Robin is saying his prayers.

God bless Mummy. I know that's right.
Wasn't it fun in the bath to-night?
The cold's so cold, and the hot's so hot.
Oh! God bless Daddy - I quite forgot.

If I open my fingers a little bit more,
I can see Nanny's dressing-gown on the door.
It's a beautiful blue, but it hasn't a hood.
Oh! God bless Nanny and make her good.

Mine has a hood, and I lie in bed,
And pull the hood right over my head,
And I shut my eyes, and I curl up small,
And nobody knows that I'm there at all.

Oh! Thank you, God, for a lovely day.
And what was the other I had to say?
I said "Bless Daddy," so what can it be?
Oh! Now I remember it. God bless Me.

Happy birthday eddie z. Even if it's a late birthday wish.

Grateful to listen to Dr Wayne Dyer on TV last night. He's one of those psychological giants that I've always looked up to, even back when I was drinking, just hoping to get and stay sober one day.

His vision seems so unbelievably true on how so many people put limitations on their lives and let other people determine what they can be in life. Instead, his message is go with your passion in life with a burning desire to succeed.

Grateful for those who take the time to make sure they enjoy life, something I need to be reminded to do.

Grateful for a day spent at home with my kids just being present and playing with them.

Grateful I'm starting to feel better about my bicycle rides, more strength in my legs and less exhaustion.

Grateful for a nice visit from family today and a gorgeous day to enjoy with them.
Grateful I wasn't excusing myself to drink in secret as was my custom.
Most grateful that it never crossed my mind to do so.
