Morning Gratitude ~ Part 41
Grateful I have off today and woke up without an alarm at 6:30 feeling rested, calm and content. Unbelievable where sobriety has brought me.
Grateful I no longer wake up with a migraine, with sketchy memories of the night before, and sipping vodka by 1 pm, pretending I am getting stuff done. When actually I was drinking myself to the brink of ruin.
Grateful for purpose, direction and reasonable self expectations.

Grateful to see so many of you doing so well.
Grateful to read these posts.
Grateful for a walk with my dog this morning.
Grateful to be kicking out some chores early.
Grateful for a more mellow vibe around here lately.

Grateful for another day waking up without a hangover. 8 or 9 mornings straight so far! I don't ever want to feel that way again and must remain ever vigililant. But for now just taking the time to feel blessed that I wake up feeling goof and capable.
Chose green tea instead of coffee at breakfast. Maybe I'll have coffee later...little healthy choices. It all starts with not drinking.
Sun salutations to get my energy moving.
Bird song in the morning.
A lot to do today, but I'm not to impaired to do it, and while being busy can be overwhelming, it also means I'm valuable where I work. I contribute.
Getting up in the morning and taking care of the animals, doing 20 min yoga, and eating a healthy breakfast. AND getting a bunch of the dishes from yesterday done...ALl this accomplished, instead of just feeling sick and miserable, or just packing the bowl and becoming hazy and unfocused...when I really take the time to think about this, it feels so good to be on this path. I am so grateful for sobriety.
Thanks for reading, have a wonderful day.

Grateful for deeker's post in the 24 hour club today. Wow.
Grateful to be clean and sober another day.
Grateful for the everyday things I take for granted sometimes.
Grateful for watermelon on my diet.
