Aaaaahhhhh!!!
Glad to be back from a couple of days' retreat at Well of Mercy. Grateful to have found a quiet spiritual getaway place to have respite from the demands of home.

Grateful for learning so much more about how to support and guide people in a kind and gentle way, rather than a judgmental way. Glad that all the reading, praying, and meditating keeps me prepared for the opportunities I'm being given to practice this new way.

Speaking of such opportunities, I'm also grateful I was able to help a sponsee this evening and practice just being NICE and listening and also sharing my experiences without being holier-than-thou. Really grateful I'm trying to put myself back where I used to be so I can help others get where I am now!

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful I will spend tomorrow helping my Nephew prepare for some Medical tests. He is getting an MRI and Cat Scan. Instead of being alone, we will try to keep his spirits up by doing family things!!

grateful, that unlike my friend, Thomas, I did not get hit by a 3,000 pound car on Dec. 24th, and a $200,000 dollar bill for a 24 stay in the hospital !!!!!!!

(((Ipanema))) - Grateful to hear from you! Mom now has fluid on her lungs (ugh) and will be in hospital for at least a couple more days.

Grateful for you seeing your nephew and being there for him, it will help.

Also grateful that the pain meds they are giving my mom are making things easier for her. Grateful that even though I'm scared I made a choice not to drink over it although I sure thought about it.

Thank you xxoo

This evening I am fortunate

To listen to the music of my flip flops
Can see the fading light
Can smell the BBQ sausages
Have a garden that helps us relax

Grateful that Marcher's awesome menu today made me believe in the power of fantastic food!
Grateful that there are people in this word who can cook; I can dream.
Grateful too, that I can be there for my family....it is not easy, but that's OK.

Nite all,

Love V xx

EQ, have you seen The Power of Meow, with Rumi the cat? It's pretty cool.

Very grateful that I picked up the phone when my sponsor called. I have been upset with her over the past month or so, but decided the compassionate thing to do would be friendly and non-judgmental and allow her to feel useful again. So glad I working on learning kindness and acceptance. We had a nice chat.

And grateful that I also got back to my volunteer commitment at the teen substance abuse program. Met some new clients tonight and played Apples to Apples. FUn!!

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful for little things that I used to barely notice. Grateful I don't take much for granted these days.

Grateful I rode my bike to the park today, and met up with my brother who went there with his grandkids. We took turns, one of us bike riding with the six year old and the other pushing three year old twin girls on pink tricycles. : )

Grateful my Dad asked me to meet him for dinner as he was passing through town tonite. He is on his way another hour north. Grateful he has inpatient surgery tomorrow which if successful should help him a lot.

Grateful to see him the night before his surgery. We watched Notre Dame women dominate basketball against Maryland tonight. It was fun .

Grateful to be making memories for myself and others.
