Thank you God, for my now daily looks at untreated alcoholism. Dad asked me to buy him a bottle of vodka yesterday. When I refused he stopped talking to me. Thank you God for helping me walk away.
Thank you Astro for your posting on untreated Alcoholism. I deal with this with my family. I don't walk away, just look the other way...as I see the influence on children. My oldest grandchild just started showing signs of my disease. There is only one thing I can do for her at this time. Let her know I have a solution, simple but not easy. At the right time I will talk to her. Meanwhile, she's in God's hands and so am I...and I pray for her to be able to see Recovery thru my experiences. Ipanema
Thank you God for another day of Sobriety. It was a great day although one Sister couldn't make it.....
Thank you God for when I am disturbed about something in my life, I can turn over what I can't do alone and ask Your for help. You have given me tools, such as the Twelve Steps and Traditions, and more importantly those here on SR and other recovery friends.

Hang in there Astro. One step at a time. You've faced a lot these last months. Try and think about fishing when you open a bill : ). I will pray for you and your Dad during this time.
Thank you God for the power of prayer. Thank you for listening while I prayed aloud to you the whole drive home in my car tonight.
Help me to not just desperately ask for help, but to also stop and listen to what your answer is.
