Grateful that I'm so eager to put up Christmas stuff that I'm somewhat put off that I have to wait till the painting's done. Like a good addict, I want to do it NOW!

Also grateful I went to a holiday service and tree lighting at the kids' treatment facility where I volunteer. I had not been in the chapel before and it and the music were lovely. Grateful that I didn't use all the families and kids around me as an excuse to wallow in self-pity about being there alone.

  • Grateful my husband didn't give up on me in spite of my shocking behavior over the years.
  • Grateful for my rabbitty-soft cat who looks and acts like a kitten (BIG eyes, tiny face, constantly playful).
  • Grateful for my cozy bed and being sober and typing now instead of out of my mind drunk or in a blackout.
  • Grateful I found this website.

My little Spencer is "rabbity-soft." I like that term. Actually, though, he is not little; he's the youngest, so I think of him as the baby, even though he's over 15 pounds.

Grateful for my "new" pink house. The color went on today and it's even more fab than I thought it'd be.

And grateful I didn't freak out about almost running out of one of my psych meds. The pharmacy has to have lab results to fill it & there were some glitches this week, but it all worked out. Glad I have faith today that it's going to be OK, even if it's not what I want or expect.

Love and hugs,
Eddie
