Good morning. I'm new to the grat thread.
Grateful I have the day off work. Not through feeling hungover, but a planned trip to London with my mum. Shopping and afternoon tea in Fortnum & mason.

grateful for a new coworker coming today - being positive that things will work out with a new person added to the office dynamic
grateful for a restful weekend
grateful yesterday and last nite for my fairly new roof over my head (with all the rain)
grateful for my back & stomach not hurting so bad this past weekend and grateful for already having the dr's appt made for a checkup
grateful for my mom and the money she dropped off yesterday (sorely needed)
grateful for it finally being december (not to be a bah humbug but i'm ready for the new year haha)

Grateful that the operation to remove the bead that my beautiful but mischievious 3 yr old g.daughter stuffed down her ear was a success and she is fine and well!
Grateful that I didn't have to scrape the ice off my car this morning.
Grateful that the heating is working in work.
Grateful that I am busy and sober to deal with the work load

Grateful for pushing myself Monday night to meet up at Starbucks with some members of the mixed AA and Al anon group to hold our own meeting after getting a text message that the meeting was cancelled cause the power was out at the church.
Grateful I didn't stay home and isolate even though I kind of wanted to.

Grateful for 7 solid hours of real sleep. I feel better, i listen to my body these days.
Grateful for a friend who will be the dog nanny today, i have a long work day, meeting in the evening.
Grateful for a short weather reprieve from winter, 65 degrees, i will take it!
Grateful to see the difference in real recovery and the fanatical

grateful to know there is coffee in the pot at work before i even get there (yes I autobrew at work too hehe)

Grateful for my friend sitting next to me in work, she can prod me if I nod off I'm so tired.
Grateful they ran out of the tacky tinsel before they got to my desk, lol.
Grateful I've left my mobile phone at home.
Grateful my husband is home today to make dinner
Grateful to you as ever.

Just for today I will exercise my soul in three ways. I will do somebody a good turn, and not get found out. If anyone knows of it, it will not count. I will do at least two things I don’t want to do-just for exercise. I will not show that my feelings are hurt; they may be hurt, but today I will not show it.

The first thing I have been saying out loud the last week....
"Thank you for my sober day yesterday."
"Thank you for today"
Then I get out of bed.
It sets the tone. It makes me start on calmer note.
Have an all day meeting today from 10- 5 so patience is a virtue. and especially sitting those chairs all day.
