If I disappeared from SR....the site would roll right along...someone else would step in and that is as it should be.

The power of SR is in our strong membership who are willing to care and share with others.....

Gotta admit... I'm not feeling very grateful today, it's been a crappy day and it's not over yet... but darn it, I AM very grateful for these dogs. Even the elderly one who pees on the floor constantly.

Today I am grateful

for the sound of the wind in the trees
my daughter working in silence next to me
a lie in till 10am !! in my comfortable bed (without my usual hangover)
the freedom I am experiencing from the torment of alcohol
That least can endure the crap

tonight I am grateful for

Sitting in the dark
Having frittered the day away
feeling fine
with a mona lisa smile
about to create havoc in the kitchen
at the end of week 5

Today I am grateful for

Being able to cook diner without burning myself
My husband pretending my chicken stir-fry tasted great even though I'd burned it
My husband doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen after

Most of all finally being able to enjoy being a newlywed, bad cooking and all.

Today I am grateful to visit my Dad, who is 81, and tell him how much he means to be... and bring out a basket of his favorites (nuts and chocolate).

Today I am grateful that someone dear to me played guitar and sang to me last night...because they wanted me to know just how much I mean to them, how special I am to them. It has been a long time since someone did something so special for me....

For that I am truly truly grateful.
