Bedtime Gratitude--Part 23
Me too, ww))))))))
Grateful for life....with my history i shouldn't be here, but for the Grace of God. Grateful for sobriety...a major reason i am still here. Grateful to look forward to the rest of this day
instead of dreading it. Grateful!

Grateful I took the dog for a long walk in the rainy woods...sargent loved it....the other dog (summer) slipped her collar and rain back to the car to get out of the rain so I let her sit the wet walk out
Wow - I am so grateful for all the warm wishes! Thank you all, very, very, very much
(((((((((((EVERYONE)))))))))))))))))
But I'm back in the saddle! They don't make them tougher than me!!!! (yeah-right!)
Grateful for the love and support from all of you!
Grateful for the love and support from my significant other over the past twenty years, through thick and thin.
Grateful for all my brothers and sisters and their families -we've been through a hell of a lot over the years, but through recovery, the abolitionists in the family have embraced the recovering alcoholics in the family, and the bond has never been tighter. They are always ready to help.
I'm pissed at myself for forgetting that.
I am grateful for a parable posted by an SR member on the FEAR thread. The last paragraph actually brought tears to my eyes.
And I vow to myself and all of you that I will never, ever allow myself to get into this dry drunk phase again. I can't stray from the program! To do so only places me in jeopardy and lets me get into my old thinking. It has consequences both in and outside of the mind.
Grateful to my HP, who points out where my attention should be placed, whether I like of not. The path is still one foot in front of the other, and let the outcome be HIS to know and determine.
Now, to catch up on some sleep!
Have a good one.......

Thank you for the words of wisdom, wellwisher!!
Grateful I decided to read and post on this thread tonight when I almost didn't because I "didn't feel like it," although LaFemme's post did make me miss walking CAsey in the woods ; )
And grateful for the eyes and ears of others who can see my progress when I am feeling down on myself like I was earlier this evening. They really set me straight.
Sleep well, folks!
Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful for garbage cans and Goodwill, otherwise there would be no place to put all the junk after a thorough spring cleaning.
Grateful for the cookie mix that was in my cupboard so that I was able to skip the trip to the grocery store to buy supplies for the sugar fest I was planning afterwards.

Grateful that we did get some rain today - love it -- everything will really grow now.
Grateful for an excellent supper - thanks to the chef! That was me.
Grateful to be very happy and content.
Grateful to have got tons of work done today.
Grateful to just enjoy relaxing and living in the moment.
Have a wonderful evening everyone!

LaFemme - too funny about the shelter-seeking dog! I once had a lab that would swim out in the middle of the bay and who wouldn't come back to the boat until she was done swimming. She wouldn't come back even if you wanted her to come back. We sometimes had to start the boat up and bring the boat to her. But trying to get her to walk outside on a rainy day was like pulling teeth - go figure! Her brother, on the other hand, couldn't swim to save his life, but was quite adept in finding meals and bringing us treasures that he found while island hunting. One time, he can back with a baked potato wrapped in tinfoil, and another time, he came back with an opened package of hot dogs. I'm glad he didn't eat them. Thanks for the memory.
Good to see you all here today...
Grateful to Carol D for the BB post about FEAR and the message contained in that post
Grateful for the determination being provided through HP's support and through the fellowship.
Grateful for clarity of purpose and recognizing my stinking thinking.
Grateful that HP is wearing an oversized catcher's mitt!

Grateful for the fastest 6 mile run of my life to tire me out.
Grateful for my legs and lungs
Gratef I saw the fear thread from carol
Grateful alarm is set and I get to start fresh tomorrow
