He is the best! I was so proud yesterday, my neighbor (whose dog he plays with) went on and on about how terrific he is. I just stood there and grinned stupidly while she told me all about my dog's virtues!!!
Last night was our first real cold night here and at about midnight he got cold and came to snuggle. I woke up with his head next to mine on the pillow and his arm around my waist. No better way to start the day!

I agree! I love snuggling in bed with my three. THey keep me warm and safe. And waking up to see them sprawled out on the bed sleeping peacefully never fails to make my day.
First time I saw that little face, I just had to have him. Man, adopting a dog from a rescue group is tough. It's almost like adopting a baby, with all the questions and verifications they do. I can understand it though. This guy's had a tough life in his 3 years of existence. Oh, and he only has one eye. The other was damaged when he was hit by a car about 4 months ago. Poor little guy.
He also has the cutest underbite, which you can see prominently displayed in this pic...
Anyway, his foster mom was calling him King, but I don't care for that, so I've been calling him Riley. He seems to like it, so Riley it is.

Hooray, I can finally post pictures and links, so here are some from the 3,5 month old Zuzia, she is a Polish alf, a dog used for hunting, although she will be the ranch dog of my parents. I am taking care of her, as my parents went to Curacao to visit my sister for 5 weeks till the beginning of November.
She is an incredible runner but not yet a good listener Also very active, have to walk with her for at least 2-3 hours a day, so she can run, instead of barking for food at home.
She is a great help with my recovery also, someone to take care of and a great motivator for exercise!
On the pic she was only 2,5, she is much bigger now!
One more on the beach:

Suki, Riley looks a lot like y Sammy (except he is a blonde tri-color) same little foy face....and my Sammy became a total HAM...he is currently snoozing on the tempur-pedic with the cats! so it 's a small dog, the cats will adjust soon!
Zuza is beeyootiful!

Oh, he knows he's cute. He's a ham, too. My orange tabby actually came into my room today and laid on the bed and observed Riley for a while. Riley didn't bark at her, just wanted to see her and when Stinker spit at him, he went and laid down. I think they'll be okay eventually. I'm glad to see Stinker getting bold enough to come back into HER room and not let it be completely taken over by the new interloper.
to the new additions to the grat pack I love the underbite on Riley.
I also love the ears on Zuzia cool name to, and I learned a new breed today polish alf the only time I have heard alf was that show where alf is the alien lol.

Suki, your cats will get used to Riley (I love saying that name) and they'll come to get along fine. My cats always react with horror and disgust when I get a new dog but they quickly get used to to the new doggie and they all do fine together. With time they'll all adjust. Who knows? Kitties and doggie may end up being friends like Nikko and Rosie.
