*Lol*

You know me, always have a little song in my head....that made me

think of this..I think they played it on the radio when my sis was in

HS.

High Hopes

cahn/van heusen

Next time your found, with your chin on the ground
There a lot to be learned, so look around

Just what makes that little old ant
Think hell move that rubber tree plant
Anyone knows an ant, cant
Move a rubber tree plant

But hes got high hopes, hes got high hopes
Hes got high apple pie, in the sky hopes

So any time your gettin low
stead of lettin go
Just remember that ant
Oops there goes another rubber tree plant

When troubles call, and your backs to the wall
There a lot to be learned, that wall could fall

Once there was a silly old ram
Thought hed punch a hole in a dam
No one could make that ram, scram
He kept buttin that dam

cause he had high hopes, he had high hopes
He had high apple pie, in the sky hopes

So any time your feelin bad
stead of feelin sad
Just remember that ram
Oops there goes a billion kilowatt dam

All problems just a toy balloon
Theyll be bursted soon
Theyre just bound to go pop
Oops there goes another problem kerplop
Think another "blue eyes" made it famous...

Grateful for the growing times...
I'm having one now too!! Left 3 weeks work (on fractions yuk!) till the last minute.

I didn't 'get' fractions in primary school!

Grateful for the challenges I sometimes find in sobriety, and the knowledge that I'll learn from them and my recovery will grow from the experience. ( can you tell I'm trying to put a positive slant on this lol)

Hey IO, good timing on posting that song. If the ant can do it, so can I.

I am an Aries to IO... lol

Grateful that I chose not to run after a dark hole and jump in. I am learning...
((deep sigh))

PS: I did chase it for a minute as it was moving away from me to Colorado but, I stopped just in the nick of time.

Me too Lbad....this place has helped me stay sane today after one hour's sleep. Not going to try getting zzzz's yet though...too early.

Grateful for everyone's contributions on here. Thanks for helping me stay sober/clean today.

Leap of faith survivor
I read somewhere that (paraphrased) 'faith is a desperate dive out of the sinking boat of human endevour, knowing that God will be there to catch you.' Thanks for the reminder

Grateful for the gratitude gang. :ghug
