I'm grateful that I'm here to give back what was so freely given to me.

Grateful that MY daughter (the littlest, cranky one)...... lol was awarded a VERY large scholarship for a two week trip to the east coast this spring. She was awarded this scholarship by her teachers who told me that she received the one and only scholarship available because she has such a fantastic, positive attitude toward herself and others...
This blows my mind... She is SO different then I was. I am so proud of her and so grateful that I was allowed the grace of getting clean/sober and parenting her practicing a spiritual set of principals.

Now, there are many, many people in the world, but relatively few with whom we interact, and even fewer who cause us problems.
So, when you come across such a chance for practicing patience and tolerance, you should treat it with gratitude. It is rare. Just having unexpectedly found a treasure in your house, you should be happy and grateful to your enemy for providing that precious opportunity..

His Holiness The Dalai Lama

I am grateful for the opportunities to practice patience and tolerance..I need to be reminded of this , this week

Hello all. Today I'm grateful to be alive and well. Grateful to be clean/sober. Grateful that I have a loving God of my understanding who woke me up and gave me breath today. I'm also grateful for this chat board. Love to all. A sis in recovery..
