Bedtime Gratitude Part 8

Oh, there was definitely dairy involved, like mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses 'cause I didn't have any cheddar. Also potatoes (of course), onions, salt, pepper, thyme, and parsley. I think that's it. That's actually pretty simple for me. Usually I like to dump a bunch of different spices in my soups.
Grateful tonight that I am trying to be responsible and proactive and actually PLAN my trip out of town this weekend. Being on a pretty strict meal plan can make such things a little tricky. Plus, I want to try to hit a meeting or two in Asheville and visit a friend there as well, though where I'm going is about an hour away. It's a challenge, but I feel up for it.
And grateful for a truly productive session with my new therapist. I told my mom that I think I got more out of this one visit than I did in 5+ years with my previous person. I know that's kind of harsh, but it's the truth. Just don't tell my old therapist I said that, OK? I really think this is going to work out well.

I've had days that have started off like - tired, dread, kicking myself for something in the past, p.o.'ed at something.
I try and tell myself "well, at the very least be kind to others." At some point, my bad mood goes away . I dunno if this is a mental trick or something spiritual. I try and make others feel good and, you guessed it, I feel good despite what is going on in my life.
Whatever it is, I'm grateful for it.
