I feel like I'm living in the middle of a sh_tstorm today. Dog tore up the house last night, I'm trying to sell the place and spent the weekend cleaning and boxing things up. Bounced a large check, plenty of money in savings to cover it but the &^%$ bank drafted money out of the wrong account. :wtf2
No matter what happens today, tomorrow, or any day thereafter, I'm grateful for my recovery and the sober life I have. Even if my @ss falls off!

I'm grateful for being of sound mind and body today. For getting today's errands run. For the BLT sandwiches at dinner and the ice cream during another wonderful movie. I am grateful for the slow end of the day where I experience the natural feeling of winding down. Sitting under a comforter on my favorite easy chair and just enjoying everything that catches my eye. This place, the decor, the memories and most of all...me.

Helped my mom with something very important to her wellbeing.
Took my son to his first swimming lesson of the year - cheered him on.
Feeling kinda useful today . That's gotta be one of the best feelings that there is.
Grateful that I am able to help others.

What's Rule 62?
Today I'm grateful that my doctor was able to work me into his schedule. Grateful that the scrips he gave me were inexpensive.
Grateful to be sober and getting healthier. Able to walk my dogs. Able to still drive myself here and there.
Grateful that I'm looking for gratitude these days and not complaining as much. And when I do complain, the words aren't slurred or incomprehensible.
Grateful that my dog's diabetes is more under control now and he's in good health. Grateful also that my beagirl, age 12, is in wonderful health.
Grateful that I have family and friends who love me. Grateful that I am able and willing to love those around me.
Grateful beyond measure for the people here who have encouraged me from the start! My victory must be shared with all my friends!:ghug3
Grateful for my life, my new sober life, grateful to be alive.
:ghug

Yeah, remind me about Rule 62 also. I know I used to know what it was, but since I'm around NA more than AA, I've forgotten.
Grateful tonight that I had a very nice lunch with a friend from WA-AY back, like junior high school. Hadn't seen him in about 20 years. Seriously. I'm grateful that I survived eating out with a minimum of difficulty since my meal plan can make things tricky at times. And I was just happy to sit and gab about old friends and other stuff for an hour or two.
Also grateful that I finally have gotten around to unpacking the things from when I was in treatment which had been sitting in the living room floor. Hey, it's only been what? Seven weeks or something. LOL. Now, if only I can figure out what to do with all those papers and stuff. It was interesting because I actually was pretty bitter about some aspects of my stay there and seeing all those things reminded me of a lot of good stuff and kind of took the edge off my bad attitude.
Time to get to bed!
Love and hugs,
Eddie
