I'm grateful that I woke up with a better perspective on how badly I need to grow up, mature, and be a "big person".
Hope you're all having a great week. TGI almost F.

Morning Kevin, Richie, Arura, Astro and Welcome Steve,
I am grateful I am sober and that I made homemade cookies for my daughters class for her birthday last night. I never would have done anything like that in the old days. I was always to "busy". Besides we didn't have utilities so I couldn't bake even if I wanted to. Grateful for my stove working too!

I wish I could say the same thing about the coming weekend. Its the two days I enjoy drinking the most...
But I am grateful going into my second day sober...
One day at a time.

Steve, I can totally relate to drinking on the weekends, or any day of the week for that matter. But now I look forward to spending my weekends with fellow alcoholics and enjoying our sobriety. I'm serving breakfast at my house tomorrow to a bunch of drunks like myself, and know that we'll enjoy some great conversation and the company of each other. Trust me, it does get better if you work for it.
Yesterday is gone, tomorrow hasn't happened yet, and so far I'm very grateful for another moment of sobriety.

Thanks for the encouraging words...
Your breakfast plans sound like a good time...
This will truly be a test for me. For once in my life, I'm not looking forward to getting off work this evening...
But, I truly believe that finding this forum and talking to folks here...
I CAN DO IT!!!
Enjoy your Weekend...
One day at a time.

You can do it, Steve. You're off to a great start if you understand the "one day at a time" concept.
When we sit down in small groups for discussion at my afternoon meetings it's pretty common for at least one person to say "It's great to be here on a
_ _ _ day afternoon, clean & sober, rather than sitting at a bar". I heartily agree!

Morning Gang
Grateful for the weekend and the time fror rest relaxation recovery and fun it brings.
Friday used to be my fave night too permission to muck up as much as I liked ...
These days Friday is something completely differenet, its about my weekend, my time to enjoy
Hang in there, this too shall pass, just one day at a time is the way we get well.
congrats on your sober time Steve. Don't forget we have all know what your going through, its "we" here instead of "I"

Good Morning to Everybody!!!!!!!!!
I am grateful that weekends mean something today. For a long, long time days had no significance really at all. Just another day to get up and find a way to stay well. Today I work and have a life etc, etc.....
Weekends now are so cool I can hardly stand it. lol I am such a dork. I know. I am just so happy I have this "normal" life.
Grateful for the "one day at a time" method. I CAN stay sober today! I know that. I will worry about tomorrow when I get there.
(((((Eddie)))))) we love and miss you.

Grateful that my daughter had a nice birthday and that I was able to participate financially, emotionally and spiritually. It was so much fun to watch her have fun skating. She is having a great birthday weekend. I am happy that she is happy!

Good morning everyone!
Grateful that I have a short week ahead, and for the wonderful weekend spent with my children and friends in recovery. What a great life I've been blessed with.
