Completely normal to feel that way - in fact, I felt exactly the same way. I don't think anyone on this forum "wants a divorce because they grew apart". Majority of us still love our addicts, but just cannot go on anymore.
XAH also moved away - allegedly for a year (to live with his brother). It has been almost two years - and he mentioned that originally he was planning to move closer to DS, but could not face what he has done and could not go to his former AA meetings because everyone knew that "I kicked him to the curb". He also claims the whole town is triggering for him. I actually count my blessings - in prior years he would move out and then hang around too much and eventually weasel his way back in. Distance helps.
Yes, it gets better, but two years later I still have my moments.
