My favorite is "Moving on" by Rascal Flats. It is my tag line. The music is great but the lyrics are so powerful

Ok, anything at all by Kelly Clarkson when she was angry.

I used to sit in my car in the garage because I was afraid to go into my house and listen to her cd's.

Esp- Never Again, Because of You, Mr Know it all, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Don't ever forget, "I won't back down",

also my best when he kept knocking me to the ground, and I am serious about this. ......................I get knocked down, but I get up again, no one keeping me down.

Now need to look up the real words to that song

Here are my suggestions:

Never gonna get it by en vogue -- it was actually suggested to me by Ariesagain, it has worked wonders for me

Beat on the brat by the Ramones -- this one is for when I'm angry. I've also been listening to it when I'm working the punching bag during my Krav Maga classes, the combination of the song and throwing punches is a wonderful stress reliever and is a great for getting the anger out

I'ts my life by Bon Jovi -- this one is my all time favourite when I feel low. On the day I broke up with my ex ( the healthy relationship I had before XABF), I turned up the volume and played it in the car for the full 3 hours drive I had between the city we I had moved to to be with him and my hometown. At that time, a friend told me : you'll see, the road will be your salvation. Those 3 hours of crying and signing at the top of my lungs helped me so much. Give it a try, you'll see.

OK, I'm short on time but I'll put in at least a few of these videos:

Won't Get Fooled Again from the Who (had to choose between good sound quality and shots of Roger in his prime--Roger won, so look up the studio version if you'd like better sound!)

For anyone who wants to add their own videos, there is an instruction thread here on SR: http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...vids-post.html

It really and truly is not hard.

1) Choose either "Quick Reply" or "Post Reply", doesn't matter which. Make sure your cursor is in the reply box.

2) Then look immediately above the area you type in--see all those little boxes w/things in them? See the colorful capital G on the far right, bottom line of boxes? Click on the box to the left of that one, and something that looks like this: (YT)(/YT) will appear in the reply box. (What you will see on your screen will have brackets around the "YT" things rather than parentheses, but I had to use parentheses for this post so the tag would be visible in the post.)

3) Now go find the video you want (this procedure is for YouTube, I'm guessing other videos might need a different procedure). Once you have it open, look at the very top of your screen. You'll see the "address" of the video. It will look like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANw38xX_EuM

4) What you want to do is copy just the portion of the address AFTER the = sign, so with this example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANw38xX_EuM you would copy the red part.

5) Come back to the SR site and paste that in between the (YT)(/YT) from step 2, right between the middle brackets. Do not put spaces between the address portion and the "YT" things.

6) Finish up your post if you need to and then hit the submit button, same as ever. Look what you get!!

It sounds way harder than it is, but give it a few tries and you'll be able to add a musical touch to your posts whenever you want!!

If anyone is struggling, feel free to PM me and I'll do my best to clarify.

You ROCK honeypig, thank you!

Trying not to repeat any from all of these threads, but this morning's playlist included:

Fuel - Innocent

Satan, you know where I lie
Gently I go, into that good night
All our lives get complicated
Search for pleasures, overrated
Never armed our souls
For what the future would hold
When we were innocent, innocent

Angels, lend me your might
Forfeit all my lives to get just one right
All those colors long since faded
And all our smiles all confiscated
Never were we told
We'd be bought and sold
When we were innocent, yeah

Yeah, this prayer is for me tonight
This far down that line and still ain't got it right
And all in while confessions not yet stated
Our next sin is contemplated
Never did we know what the future would hold
Or that we'd be bought and sold, no
We were innocent, innocent
When we were innocent, oh

A little bit of Foo:

Foo Fighters - Times Like These:

I, I'm a one way motorway
I'm the one that drives away
Then follows you back home
I, I'm a street light shining
I'm a wild light blinding bright
Burning off alone

It's times like these you learn to live again
It's times like these you give and give again
It's times like these you learn to love again
It's times like these time and time again

I, I'm a new day rising
I'm a brand new sky
To hang the stars upon tonight
I am a little divided
Do I stay or run away
And leave it all behind?

It's times like these you learn to live again
It's times like these you give and give again
It's times like these you learn to love again
It's times like these time and time again

It's times like these you learn to live again
It's times like these you give and give again
It's times like these you learn to love again
It's times like these time and time again

I love this one. Way back when things were really horrible, this absolutely captured how I felt - like this man in my life was a stranger I didn't know & I was faithless, shamed, exposed, vulnerable & torn.

Natalie Inbruglia - Torn

I thought, I saw a man brought to life
He was warm, he came around and he was dignified
He showed me what it was to cry

Well, you couldn't be that man I adored
You don't seem to know
Seem to care what your heart is for
But I don't know him anymore

There's nothing where he used to lie
The conversation has run dry
That's what's going on
Nothing's fine, I'm torn

I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I'm ashamed
Lying naked on the floor

Illusion never changed
Into something real
I'm wide awake and I can see
The perfect sky is torn
You're a little late, I'm already torn

So I guess the fortune teller's right
Should have seen just what was there
And not some holy light

It crawled beneath my veins
And now I don't care, I had no luck
I don't miss it all that much
There's just so many things
That I can touch, I'm torn

I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I'm ashamed
Lying naked on the floor

Illusion never changed
Into something real
I'm wide awake and I can see
The perfect sky is torn
You're a little late, I'm already torn, torn

There's nothing where he used to lie
My inspiration has run dry
That's what's going on
Nothing's right, I'm torn

I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I am shamed
Lying naked on this floor

Illusion never changed
Into something real
I'm wide awake and I can see
The perfect sky is torn

I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I'm ashamed
Bound and broken on the floor
You're a little late, I'm already torn, torn
